Thanks for your video, I love the suggestion of using a shirt. My dad passed away almost 2 years ago, I have some of his shirts that I wanted to use in a sewing project, but had not decided what… now I know, thanks
Thank you for this awesome video! I just found you and I just started to make bowls. Saved a few a my husband’s dress shirts. He passed away 2 1/2 years ago 😢. I didn’t know what to do with them…Now I know! Thank you!
Thank you for the excellent instruction. I have wanted to make one of these bowls for a few years now, but it didn't take priority. Now I need a basket to carry my homemade items to a Chinese auction, so I will finally try it. I would also like to learn to make baskets using long grasses.
Hi Laurel! I have just found your video and have watched part 1 and 2! I love your bowl! I love your teaching technique, and your pleasant sense of humor! I want to learn to do that! I have 3 sewing machines at my house, two of them from my mother-in-law and one from my mother’s estate. My mom could sew clothes and she quilted but I never was interested in learning before. My mom’s machine is a nice old Kenmore made of steel (I assume) and one from my mother-in-law is a Singer (a little black machine from the 1950s). I’ve got to get a little bit of maintenance done (well, maybe even a little repair). I’m excited about learning to at least do some easy projects! I love that you are carrying on the tradition and helping us to learn too. I’m 65, but better late than never to learn, now that I’m retired! 😊😊
