As a Lineman, thank you for leaving our material alone lol that is all new “spotted” material and that thing you held is called a stand off bracket or switch bracket. That pole is going to be changed.
Great content as usual along with great work ethic. Whenever I need to shorten lengthy pieces, hence your rebar, I will slide them under the rolloff container and bend them in half.
I have an awesome vintage fan of my grandfather's, circa 1940s, made out of steel. I put a new cord on it, works great! Back when they made things to last!! If you find an old sunbeam toaster, resell it. People will pay hundreds for those...
It cracks me up that you found a set of horseshoes, because I just found a set a few days ago! Also that first dumpster was the gift that kept on giving. You can never have too much rebar.
Idk if it’s worth throwing on Facebook for a few bucks but that small black plastic box you got towards the start is a battery box of an electric boat motor.
Awhile back took apart some pretty old washer n dryers. They had alum motors but i had time to kill and had to be out there to monitor something anyway. Also that black box is a battery box
Between the rod you mention and the bolts that hold the tank to the bowland the ones that secure the bowl to the flange there's maybe 40 cents in brass, unless it's a real old john, it's just not worth it!
@thubprint my pleasure, I truly look forward to your content every week (seriously no pressure)❤ But your informative mantra of "scrap is the lowest/last value" somehow hit hard enough this time to make it into my thick head lol. A couple of the things I picked up from free piles this weekend I'm planning to make the effort to list and see if I can sell them via fb marketplace. This got me thinking on a contrnt idea for you. I love how you and several similar creators do vids with the theme "is it worth it" scrapping various appliances and electronics down to their baser bits. But how cool would it be to do is it worth keeping to resell. Keeping track (as I'm sure you already do) of what you pick up, and was it free? How much effort did it take to test its functionality? If needed what did it take to fix it? How much did it sell for? And probably most importantly, How long did it sit on your "inventory"? Video clips of each answer smooshed together could be good for the "shorts" feature of your channel. And then as your data accumulates you could do feature episodes where you look at averages of similar items ❤❤ and make broader statements of "is it worth it?" In relation to what to keep and resell vs tin shred vs full tare downs🥰🥰🤘🤘🔥🔥
Depending on what your time is worth. It's maybe 1 lb of aluminum and 10-15 mins of work for 40 cents more to scrap it out. Yes going that far, add a few more minutes you can pull half a pound or so of #2 wire, the small piece of sheet aluminum behind the knobs and the cast aluminum case of the motor and bits of brass microscrapping to gain $2-3 each washer over tossing it whole. You could probably do maybe 3 in an hour so if you have the time and space and don't mind making $7-9/hr for the effort go ahead
Do you ever get in trouble with other scrappers? Like here in the Netherlands this is a good way to loose your teeth. Criminal gangs will claim every site.

Yaaay it's that time of the week

Outstanding video. You are a professional scrapper, recycler and reuser! Be safe out there!😊

I admired people like you that put hard work unto it and see results. Good job!

That first skip was full of treasure 🤑
A gorgeous day for Thub shuts down my entire city lol
I love your content !
Greetings from Poland.
Loving the street scrapping videos. I do miss the longer street scrapping and breakdown videos combined though. However, still stellar as always
Making it better one dumpster at a time.
I like your content, thank you for sharing it with us ♻️

When i moved into my house i kept finding rebar. I have a saw that cuts it so I use it for spikes in flower beds.
I loved the video. A nice mix of things found. I always love a good hunt
Transmission casing and gears are usually cast aluminium .. motor is alu/irony or standing mekted in the stove gl Sir!
Here in the States at the yard I’m employed by Harness wire is almost 2x the rate of our Low Recovery wire.
Great video my friend
Awhile back took apart some pretty old washer n dryers. They had alum motors but i had time to kill and had to be out there to monitor something anyway. Also that black box is a battery box
Thanks Thub ❤️😁
wow, still snowing there❄
One of the scrap yards that l use classifies light ballasts as electric motors=95c a kg. Better than 20c kg as tin shred. 🇦🇺
I ain't been called cute before! lol Awesome video my friend!
It's May, and it's trying to snow in Calgary - 22 here yesterday....

Sick haul - as usual.
Lots of older toilets have brass nuts etc
Love the thub video.
They make a grill and ice coolers out of old toilets 😮
Ice in the top and fire in the bowl
Woohoo let’s go thub
Love content and the supportive fellow pandas 🐼 ❤hello from Portland Oregon USA. is it my imagination or is it snowing?!?!❤
It was! 😆 we’ll get a little snow at all sorts of unexpected times through the year. Thanks for saying hi!

You mentioned toilet
Wr had to replace one in an old house.toy surprise the whole top was copper.
Really?? That’s super cool!
Are you behind on videos or is it snowing in May? Lol.
I live in Seattle and even that seems wild.
Hit 92F yesterday.
Oldschool Whirlpool 😀
I paid over $8 a piece for 1/2" rebar, 6ft long in St John's NL.
Nice Friday break.
The telescope, stainless? You might check it out. Junk optics wouldn't use a stainless tube. Would they?
Snow?? In May?
Actually I just got 4 inches this past weekend and the mountains got 1-2 feet! Springtime in Utah!
are you using brake rotors as paving stones? Love it lmao
Lol, that’s exactly what I’m doing
👍
did the microwave from last episode worky?
Good video. Was it snowing there in May??
It was! It’s pretty hot now but it wouldn’t be unusual if we got one more snow
How's the weather in Calgary Drake?
That intake manifold looks like it came off of a Subaru
Alu winding dont worth tearing apart?

Battery box for your trailer bro
Dude......... pop the master link on those chains.
Someone would have bought the garage doors openers
wow thubby didn't hide his license plate
The battery box is worth 10-20
You ought to carry some wire cutters for those chain belts. Makes quick work of them.
Why not back your truck up so you don't have to touch it twice
First!!
Why don't you park your truck nearer to the dumpster? Why drop it all on the ground? Nuts
Don't you own a socket set your always using plyers
Doctor
