I saw Queen live back in 79/80, have to look up the date, and let me tell you this. While the guitarist can't compare to Brian May, lets face it, very few can, best guitarist around, the spirit of Freddy is here. This brought me back to that concert when I was 13 years old rocking to Queen. Bohemian Rhapsody was NEVER played like this live, they did EXCELLENT! I closed my eyes and I can hear Freddy at times. Well done guys, well done.

Meanwhile I play several instruments myself: drums, bass, guitars and I sing, lead and harmony backing vocals. Queen are still my biggest influence. Of course Brian is impossible to level, but this guy is doing are very fine job, as well is the rest of the band. Singer doesn't sound like Freddie (come on, who does?!) but the harmony vocals are delicious and so is the overall performance. I echo you fully. Well done guys!

I’ve known Martel for years and years. He’s a very decent singer and is able to imitate some of the timbre of Freddie, but I can hear the difference within the second. In fact: Gregory Finsley does a slightly better job in imitating Freddie’s timbre and also Gary Mullen does a fine job. I also tried to imitatie Freddie’s timbre. I can do a proper Freddie sounding falsetto voice but not his full chest voice. That’s why I know how bloody difficult it is to catch the sound of Freddie and I respect the singer of this band.
You were actually blessed because especially in 1979 Brian May was at his absolute best in terms of playing. It was to conpensate Freddie’s tired voice in early 1979 and this carried onto the Game Tour.

People are gonna want to kill me for saying this but this singer is much more resonant and powerful especially on those upper mid range and higher end parts .
You can always find impressionists and Pretty soon computers and AI will be able to replicate the original artist’s sound, so I don’t see the point. I’s rather just see a great live band do their thing and these guys are great!

I think Marc Martel has the best timbre imitation, especially from the 70s. The other two singers you mentioned are excellent though.
