  • Hello everyone! It's been a while but I'm finally back with an update since my last long covid video last year. I talk about the next part of my recovery where I went from walking and working 25 % to having no physical limitations with DNRS (Dynamic Neural Retraining System). I also share other aspects of my healing journey of how I did deeper work changing core beliefs and old patterns that didn't help me. I am now more than fully recovered!
You can watch my first long covid video where I talk more about what long covid is and how I felt before I started to heal here: • How to recover from Lo...
If you have any questions you can always reach out to me at @emeliejohnson on instagram.
For more information about DNRS read here: retrainingtheb...
Sending you all lots of love and healing!

Thank you for sharing about getting better, I feel like there’s not enough people making videos about their recovery. I’m only about a month in but I’m hopeful it won’t last too long.

The Rest Repair Recover programme is also a really supportive community for long covid. A lot of people do it in conjunction with brain retraining.

Thank you so much for your videos on your recovery journey! When I have my bad days I remember your recovery story and it helps see me through. Your videos give me the confidence that I'll recover from this too. So thank you so much for posting these. I'm doing a lot of the things you did, brain retraining and therapy, and I'm also hopeful I'll come out of this better than I went in!

Hey Em, thanks for charing your storie, you are such a lovely person and Im so happy to hear that you are fully rocovert. You deservt it, like we all do one day. Its also very interesting to hear what you learnt about yourself in that difficult time. Im atm in my 9 month with long covid and Im experiencing kinda the same. I feel like Im becoming a better person. Im more calm, more pacient, more greatful for my life then ever bevor. Now I see life from a diverent angle. I also learnt that to wake up in the morning and not to feel ill is a privilege. I will devinitly enjoy life more then ever bevor when I get fully recovert. Long covid is exialy a blessing. Not a curse. Ofcorse for thous who do recover. Not everone can experience this yourney. And Im exialy glad to do so, even I had the darkest days in my life. Im still not recovet, but Im so exited to get over this sickness one day and start my new life, like a rebirth. We are like a muscle, the more difficulty it gets, the stronger it gets.
I wish everyone to recover asap! Stay strong, put your chest out, keep your head up and never give up like 2Pac would say.
We can do it like Em.

Thank you giving me hope. I’m only two weeks since tested positive for Covid but ended in the e.r twice already. Lost 12 pounds in one week. I see a small improvement. I know I’m not consider long Covid as of yet but I’m scared. I started doing breathing exercises and will look into the DNRS that you recommended. My sister and my friend also suffering from long Covid. Sister for a year now and my friend 2 years now.

Hi I've had long covid a year and 10 months now and wanted to say hi :). I'm 21, can't go to uni anymore and can't work. I use a walking stick. I'm sooooo glad you've recovered! Maybe I should try the recovery things you have done! Thanks for sharing 💙

Great Job! I am 1 month in and can see changes already. I find it's easy to ignore all IT's, but I still need to listen and balance self care (sitting down to read or just enjoy the clouds passing). It's a tough balance for me since I am just starting.

I think you were in my living DNRS group a year ago! I’m so happy for you! How long did you do the program for? I saw great results for the year I did it then I got covid and had a strong reactivation so I’m continuing on.. still going strong 💪🏽😉. I know DNRS will be the answer for me again.

Hi Lindsay! Yes I remember you :) I did the program for 13 months until I reached a pint where I felt I didn't need it anymore. I still do a couple of rounds every week though because I just enjoy the feeling I get from it. Sorry to hear that you got covid and a reactivation from it. Yes, DNRS is definetely the answer! You've got this!!

Glad I saw this. It's been a year since my nightmare began. I had to go this alone because no one knew what was wrong with me. It was scary not knowing if I was going to die , because I couldn't get help. I wound up going to the hospital ,and had every test on me you could possibly have done. They showed nothing wrong. My blood pressure was near stroke level, and my heart would race causing me to panic. PEM for days on end . I almost went to a nursing home. Time went by ,and I began healing thankfully . It is slow going for sure, but I'm about eighty percent better now.im always working on getting better, but still have a bout of tachycardia once in a while if up for a while on my feet . I get a little over 100 BPM ,but I'm learning to ride this out , and when I do it goes down to normal like a second wind. So yes I am retraining my brain as well. Like you said about signals telling you to rest the pain in your heal and such.I am hopeful that full recovery is around the corner for me. Glad you're doing well.

I think that was what made me recover completely and fully heal my brain yes. A life with a lof of fear will keep the brain in some kind of stressful state.

When you talk about your patterns, do you mean flare ups of long covid or behaviour? Are you completely symptomfree?

    • @environmentwithem7631
      @environmentwithem7631  2 года назад +2

Thanks for asking, this is an important distinction. I don’t have any symptoms or flare ups. There is no trace from the long covid whatsoever. What I meant was old behavioural patterns in relationships e.g. where I might have some fear when I need to communicate my needs or set a boundary to someone I care about.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the Dnrs program. I've started the program recently for my own healing journey. I have a question. Did you follow the practices in English or your mother language? I'm not sure what is best for the brain 😂 I understand and speak English very well but my mother language is German so I find myself switching. Thanks for letting me know, in what language you practiced your brain.

    • @environmentwithem7631

I think any brain retraining program is helpful and as every program is a little bit different there is definitely something for anyone out there. With that said I don't know enough about any other program I just know that DNRS was really helpful for and that it has helped many other people.
