  • Austin wanted to cut some cookies so I cranked up my 357 to what I consider a “play tune”. I also showed him how to bore cut on this day and it was a good opportunity for him to practice. I gotta keep an eye on my saw now, I think he likes it😁.

treedevil01 thanks man. I’ve got that saw tweaked pretty good, love it for a sub 60cc saw.

Thanks man, it’s one of my favorites. Yes it’s Beech. No load tune was up around 15.5k for this video. I keep it at about 14.5k for work. Was letting my son play a little

My favorite thing about smaller channels is you actually get a response... Thought it looked like the old elephant skin bark, you must be from the east, Ontario CAN myself. I try to get my nephew out cutting firewood when I can, seems to be about the same age as your son. Thanks for the videos.@@xpslinger8171

Yes sir I’m in central NY state. No better therapy for a young man than some time in the woods. Gotta teach our young fellas how to work! Lol!
What are you doing to your 357? Any mods in its future? They’re great saws stock but once they’re modded look out.

I bought it as a project saw with a trashed piston, jug is ok after some aluminum transfer was cleaned up. I have did some light port work mainly just smoothing out transfers and polished exhaust. I have been looking into getting a new piston for it. Probably going with a meteor piston with two 1mm shims because it has a 13mm small end connecting rod not a 15mm, apparently you cant get the original piston. I am going to delete the base gasket and see what that leaves me with for a squish.@@xpslinger8171
