Honestly, having Javik be born so far into the war with the Reapers was fucking Genius writing. It undermines everything we know about the protheans completely.
You can now do Dr. Bryson’s lab and that DLC quest line, people suggest waiting because it spoils this Banshee reveal. Udina’s reasonings are covered a bit more in the codex, if you want t check that out.
Re: Udina's coup. "He's always been for humans and for Earth." THAT'S PRECISELY IT. If you talk to Udina before the coup, it reveals his desperation to do something about Earth and his frustration with the Council, who are worried about their own species. Remember, even though the Turians, Krogan, and a handful of Salarian STG operatives are on your side, the Salarians (as a whole) and the Asari haven't offered to help (yet). So, all Cerberus needed to do was convince him that the other races are useless and the citadel was a key component in the victory against the reapers. Simply put, he was desperate, and saw Cerberus as the only way forward.
2:56:25 keep in mind you can test weapons in the spectre office firing range. It may not be a full on combat situation but you can get a feel for how the gun fires and see the ammo capacity without committing to it for a full mission
At purgatory, the woman who sold her car talking to the Salarian soldier with his new armor...t took me 2 playthroughs before I got the meaning of that one
I love your wild speculation :) *Assault Rifle* And look at you. You even have a positive 31% power recharge speed with the sniper and the assault rifle. Now just for fun, buy a few of those lightweight mods to reduce the weight to see how that impacts your power recharge speed. The sniper rifle only gets lowered by 8%, but the assault rifle stacks a little harder. But for fun, check out how those mods impact the submachine gun. *Fuel* You may want to memorize where you can easily gather fuel. As you left the Minos Wasteland, you only had 450 fuel left, so you may end up in trouble if you don't know where you can refuel if your next stop also doesn't have a fuel depot. Also, a hint: All artifacts are on planets, asteroids or moons. So if you find something in the middle of nowhere with your scan, it's fuel. If you find it in the cluster with a Mass Relay, you can leave it there to pick up later after you've explored the rest of the system. *PTSD Asari* She mentions a 'medical condition' for her friend that disallows her to be more than friends and you're visiting a place for Ardat-yakshi. That's awfully coincidental, don't you think? Next time she mentions someone, you may want to remember that name. *Udina* I love how you keep getting back to Udina and his reason for helping Cerberus. It's so farfetched that it kept me wondering as well, the first time I played this game, so I'm very happy seeing you do the same thing. Also, Dominic Osoba has taken Udina's place as Councilor. He's the guy you've helped tracking his son by finding the dog tags on Benning. At the time Osoba was the human ambassador, so it makes sense he's promoted to Councilor. Udina climbed that same ladder before as well after all. *Miranda* I think it's interesting to see how Miranda thinks Kai Leng should be dead already. Considering Miranda was one of the people closest to TIM, she probably saw and knew a lot about Kai Leng as well. Hearing her talk about him shows how dangerous the guy is. And her father being involved with Oriana _and_ TIM, that's bad news for both Miranda and you, because he has a lot of money and pull to get things moving. Only he does that for Cerberus now. That probably explains why TIM is able to have so many cells in so many different spots and how he's been able to pull off the coup on the Citadel. That wasn't a cheap endevour at all. Do keep in mind that this was an _optional_ interaction, so how much influence do you think this has on the overarching plot? You've already voiced your worries about her father's tech and Cerberus' tech being a bad combination. *Din Korlack* This is actually a reference to ME1, where the Volus and Elcor ambassadors had a room next to Udina. At the time it was all very overwhelming, so you may not have recognized the name as that Volus, but he was actually the first alien species you've met on the Citadel. Perhaps even the very first person. *Dr. Bryson* Someone mentioned doing Dr. Bryson's lab and that's indeed an viable option. The thing is, the DLC does give some revelations to the overarching plot. That's why I usually recommend doing it rather late in the game, so at least until you've dealt with the Quarians and perhaps the priority mission after that.
If you're looking for someone on the Citadel (like Garrus), you can cycle through the different sections with the arrows on top of the map. That way you don't have to take the elevator to check the map of that area. *Vylius* The "ui" sound in "Kuiper belt" is a Dutch sound, because Kuiper was a Dutch person. The English language doesn't really have that sound, so it's rather difficult to explain. The closest pronounciation would be the "ue" sound in "fuel", except with an 'i' instead of an 'e'. As for the scanning, the game doesn't want you to miss out on the mission due to you being hunted by the Reapers, so they simply don't summon the Reapers there. This applies to pretty much all systems when there's a mission planet in that system. *Monestary* I love how you go from "saving mission" to a full-out horror story as you enter. Elevator disabled, scary shrieks, dead Reaper troops ... that really sets the mood, doesn't it? And then they introduce you to the Banshee, a boss-level enemy which is horror material all by itself. And then they give you _two_ . The difficulty ramps up to epic proportions here. *Samara* I was _really_ worried when she pulled that gun and I saw your hand resting on your armchair. I wasn't expecting you were using your _other_ hand for the mouse to catch that interrupt ;)
When on the citadel if you're looking for someone on your map you don't need to go to each section to be able to open the map for it, just open you map wherever you are and on the top where it says what section it's showing there are arrows that let you switch sections without exiting the map.
The thing with Samara is that EVERY justicar would have to off themselves if they were in that situation. While the Code isn't totally explained, there are three aspects of it at play here: 1. Ardat-Yakshi cannot be allowed to exist outside of a monastery's seclusion, without exception. 2. Justicars cannot kill innocent people, without exception. 3. Justicars cannot violate the tenets of the Code, without exception. The logic goeth thusly; Falere's monastery has been destroyed, all other monasteries in the galaxy are at risk of Reaper invasion, she cannot be kept in a monastery, thus, she must die for the safety of the galaxy as a whole. However, the circumstances which led to the destruction of the monastery, and the Reaper's invasion of it, are not Rila's fault, hence, she is an innocent, and thus, cannot be killed. Rila must simultaneously die and be protected, regardless of which tenet the Justicar chooses to take priority, she is violating the other. The only way out, by the Code of the Justicars, the Justicar must kill themselves, as that is the only way the situation may be resolved without their violating the Code's tenets.
Not at all, every justicar would have to kill Falere,t hat's the code, she's not considered an innocent because she is ardat yakshi. That's why Samara was about to kill herself, her alive she has no choice but to kill her last daughter. The only reason why she manages to prevent this outcome and stay alive is because Falere stays in the monastery, and even that is dicey as there is nobody there to force her to stay if she changed her mind.
@@JezaGaia You seem to be willingly ignoring the fact that Justicars are obligated to protect ALL innocents, and that AYs who've chosen isolation have ADHERED to Asari law, and thus, are innocent. So, unless Falere knowingly brought the Reapers there, she's done nothing that would change that fact. Meaning she can't be killed because she's an innocent, but she has to die because none of the monasteries are safe anymore. So, again, following one tenet violates the other and the Code doesn't permit that, hence, self-deletion is the ONLY way out of that scenario for ANY Justicar.
@@scotthadden9816 Samara says it very clearly, the only way she can leave Falere alive is if she kills herself, otherwise she is forced to kill her and she doesn't want to kill her own daughter. Her own words. She doesn't say that she can't kill Falere because she is innocent, she says she can't kill her because she is her own daughter and the only one still alive. Ardat Yakshi are considered to conform to the code only if they are under control in a monastery, no more monastery, then they need to be eliminated for the safety of the Asari race. EDIT : though don't get me wrong I find that disgusting, but then I never liked the justicar code very much it leaves a lot to be desired.
@ 2:47:03 only reason she seems so strong is because of the assualt rifle you are using lol. switch to one of the harder hitting rifles like the cerberus harrier, particle rifle, Revenant, mattock, saber. Also you want to use warp rounds against banshees, cryo isnt a bad choice at all but warp will help greatly with their barriers. Phaeston isnt a bad weapon but there are other rifles that outshine it.
It's crazy how many times you have to recommit to Liara. I guess she's just very insecure! More seriously, before the Legendary Edition, some players probably didn't buy and play the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC, so there had to be a chance to recommit (or, I suppose, end it) at the beginning of ME3, especially since Shepard could have moved on and romanced someone else in ME2. As for the need to reconfirm again in this episode, I suspect that's there in case you've been flirting with multiple romance options during the early part of the game, and it now needs you to choose between them. It may also be possible to start a new romance with Liara, if you hadn't already made her your love interest in ME1. (In that case, of course, you wouldn't have had a relationship to confirm early on, so you'd need to do it now.) That's just a guess on my part though. Not sure if you can actually start a new romance from scratch with Liara in ME3.
It makes sense that the reapers were the first there before the commandos and Samara, why else would the monastery have sent a distress signal after all ? Something I didn't catch on on my first playthrough in part because it makes 0 sense, the asari with PTSD at the Huera memeorial hospital on the citadel when she's talking about the Asari she was interested in, she says that it couldn't happen and the therapist answers by saying yes I understand we have the medical records. Then what the PTSD asari describes about her crush who was modified by the reapers, how her eyes became black , it reads to me the asari was an ardat-yakshi and was made into a banshee. Only she was in the same unit or at least the same military base as the ptsd Asari and it was on her medical records that she was Ardat-yakshi so it contradicts everything we've been taught about this. There is still more to learn from her story though, so don't hesitate to go back there. Another contradiction, in ME2 Samara tells us there are only 3 ardat-yakshi in existence and all are her daughters, yet we have the asari soldier we learn from in the hospital and a whole monastery with what looks like at least a dozen or so of them living with said daughters. That's one of the bad sides of ME3, the inconsistencies. Oh and last thing, I'm not sure about this one you should check the codex but from what I remember I believe the banshees are not any asari husk, they are ardat yakshi husks only, that's why the reapers went for the monastery.
Because she's kind, smart, exotic, deeply empathetic and understanding, a decent combatant, a powerful biotic, because you've survived and faced death together? thats why?
It’s funny to me as someone who plays a renegade personality, but since most people don’t play renegade often they don’t know that renegade Shepard actually gets along way better with Garrus since Garrus himself is very renegade coded you basically never argue with Garrus if you’re renegade, their entire conversation on the bridge is a way more authentic conversation you’d have for two best friends imo especially when you say the « it shows on your face » line his clack back with « eh raise your hand if you haven’t been killed before 😈 » afterward is just pure friendship comedy gold imo, also shooting the bottle is legit the only time in the entire trilogy that someone will make Shepard laugh out loud not just giggle but actually burst out laughing so ye renegade friendship with Garrus is just way cooler for me 😌
