@@AngelMartinez-is6nd From what I can see a lot more happens on the ASVAB end. There's a lot more people in ASVAB than the fitness track so a lot of drama tends to occur compared to the fitness program. But if you focus on yourself and focus on your personal goals, you'll be just fine. I know a few people that went from 20s to high 70s on the ASVAB getting their dream MOS (if it's open). They focus on the sections of the ASVAB that are for the GT score so a lot of vocabulary classes, math and paragraph comprehension. You're in class a majority of the day from what I understand and you have PT in the morning if the weather permits.

I got back from MEPS yesterday and they're shipping ARMS people out in a little less than 2 weeks for this next cycle (at least for weight/height, no idea about ASVAB). Not sure how many slots are left so that could be a reason why they might be urging you to retake it since you're so close. My recruiters weren't even sure how long the program would be around. I've heard a mix, some say it'll be around for forever or that this could be the last cycle. You never know. Keep studying and keep going!

Oh okay how was your Maps experience I'm from Bama so I might have to go to Nashville or Montgomery but I just got off the phone with my recruiter and that might be getting to go to that prep course at Fort Jackson that I made a 29 on it I have to go to Huntsville next week and verify it I was a little bit confused so I might be able to get to go sign my contract I got to go and do another fingerprinting screening Monday and fill out some more paperwork

@@highlife9343 MEPS is A LOT, not bad at all but it takes a lot of patience. I went to one in Texas. You could either finish in a day or be a holdover like me if there's something holding up the process. They say the workers there can be a bit rude but most of the time they're veterans or family of veterans who want you to move with a purpose and get things done. They do this 7 days a week so it's understandable for them to be a bit short, especially if it's a large group. When they saw us being respectful and listening, 99.9% of the time they were very motivating and friendly. You'll find some that want you to make it just as badly as you want to make it.
Make sure you listen and ask any questions you have once you're with your counselor. Especially in regards to jobs. Make sure you listen to everything your recruiter tells you as well. I was lucky enough to have a team of recruiters who I trusted and they got me through the process. I was there for 2 days and was the last one to sign. Trust your recruiter, they'll look out for you even when it seems like things are going terribly.
I'm going to the prep course (fat camp 😂) in October for the fitness portion then on to Ft. Leonard Wood. I'm wishing you nothing but the best and good luck! You'll absolutely make friends at the hotel before MEPS as well, I guarantee that. Everyone's just as nervous and excited as you. Most of all, remember you're in charge of your own success. You got this.

I'm about to ship to this. Not looking forward to it to tell you the truth, thanks to the ARMS program and a super pushy recruiter looking to make his quota, I effectively lost my opportunity to go to OCS (likely forever). I made a 94 on the asvab, and wanted to go Intel officer. Then I got hit with a dose of reality at MEPs.
Now I get to go to fat camp for rejects who made a 12 on their asvab, then most likely get mercilessly tortured in boot camp because I went to fat camp, then it gets better. I'm stuck with 25U mos, which basically means I don't get airborne, and stuck fixing radios. If not for student loan repayment, I'd seriously tell the military to F itself.

You can always request the mos you want when it’s time to talk to retention. The mos you start off with isn’t the one you have to stay in forever. I’m going 14e for example and my request is going to be k9 when it’s time for me to renegotiate for the following 6 years after the first.
