And Plot. No way does Cerise take over when first season started with importance of having to have royal blood to rule. Ok, Tom's acting is good, the man has true potential, I like it. But that's just a slap to the face. Game of Thrones was awesome, especially the last season. I truly don't get why so many people hated it... it was amazing, through and through!!
I love what Tom is doing with the Lions. If Lyle is taking on the mantle of the “next one” he needs to stand up for himself. Very good main character, while Vince is the foil and the obstacle to be overcome. Meanwhile the other two are the comic relief and minor villains. Great, just great stuff.

I feel like the same is happening for the Packers this year though. "Jordan Love is the real deal!" "No he's not. That was the Bears. Wait until he plays against a REAL defense." You know, after the offseason where experts were hyping up the Bears and picking them to win that game. The Lions, however, have been picked by many experts to win the division. So I don't know, seems like Packers and Lions fans have reasons for a chip on their shoulders because they both feel disrespected.

I had the Packers 2nd in the division this year myself above the vikings and bears, I agree that Packer fans could feel a bit disrespected because it actually isn't that bad of a roster! I think they'll challenge for a wild card spot.

I love how the NFC North has this mafia-esque feel to it while the AFC is just a family+The Steelers with the blood demon.

It will be interesting to see how this storyline adapts to the records as time goes on

As a die hard packers fan all my life, I would not be disappointed if the lions did well, just for one year. Dan Campbell, Jared Goff, the young team, they’ve been doing so well in flashes and I would be ok if they popped off and showed the world who they were for one season.

The emotions and the human emotions you put into the characters matched incredibly about how the fan bases probably really are feeling. Shit great job.
It always astounds me how Tom is able to turn such recent results into such good writing.
Completely different feel from last season. This one just hits you in the face with how dark it is. I'm here for it. I have no dog in the NFC North being a Cowboys fan, but this feels like an uncomfortably realistic depiction of this division. Can't wait to see the lore develop over the season, could not have asked for a better start in week 1!
Yeah...yeah. Just have your division wrapped up before the end of the year. If not make sure the Cowboys have their affairs in order because the Lions are...coming.
I'm not even confident of Dallas making it to the playoffs. Then again the NFC is pretty weak. Odds are definitely in the Lion's favor if we meet in rd 1 or 2 as the Cowboys haven't made it past the divisional round in 28 years....

As a Lions fan for 50 years, I can't get cocky knowing we are one Goff injury away from being what we've always been. Hoping for the best, fearing for another rug pulled out from under us.
Bridgewater can game manage us. He's the best backup we've had since before Stafford. That O-line will get us better rushing as the season goes on and Gibbs gets more reps.

As a Lions lifer this is your best work yet
I do like the contrast with how Randall and Charles treated Lionel's win compared to Vince. The former two tried to dismiss it to make their own losses feel less painful, whereas Vince knows that a win is a win no matter how you got it. Still want to see Lionel stand up to Vince, maybe ask him how that 5th Rounder the Lions gave him is doing. Or better yet, don't say anything, just hand him a gift box and when Vince opens it up there are Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch jerseys and a note that reads, "From Jordan Love's new Daddies."
Give that man an academy award, the acting is top notch!

What’s frustrating about the Vikings as a bears fan is they never suck. When they’re bad they’re 7-10. When the Bears are bad they are atrocious.
Secret base has a video series out on the Vikings and the Vikings have never had 3 losing seasons in a row in the SB which is something new I learned and it’s pretty interesting
Also, I hope the Lions crush everyone. They deserve to be good for a while.

What’s most impressive to me is 2:00. You actually manage to have the reflection of the TV show two people and not just you.
This is actually pretty good as so many people would forget about the TV reflection and when you see the chair it be empty, actually having something there or someone there to fill in and provide a dummy for you to look at but still reflect someone on the chair is a show that you actually put so much care into these

It was ALL worth it. All those times I didn't say anything, all those times I kept the faith. They laughed, they mocked, and for another 30 years, they will suffer.
This is MY FAVORITE SHOW! I don’t care if it counts or not, but I hav e never been invested in a show so much before. This series has brought me a whole new world of lore to discover, and I’m so glad I get to see it now than after the uploading has ended.

As a Lions fan keep it coming Tom. I really see the Lions and the Packers playing 2 physical grunt-fests again this year. Both teams are solid up front and the Lions defense isn't the horror show it was at the beginning of last year.
The Chiefs learned what the Packers learned last year....this isn't your Daddy's Lions. Let em hang around and they will wear you down...and out.
As far as asterisks and all that...never apologize for a road win. They are tough to get and starting with a win at Arrowhead is pretty good stuff. Ain't our fault Kelce is getting old and the Chiefs didn't want to give Jones the bag.

The thing that gets me here is that Tom has to write and rewrite these based on how the season goes. The Bears go on a tear, he has to work that in. The Lions or the Packers go on a long losing streak, he has to figure out how that works.

I am so conflicted. I wish that the series will develop, but I also just shuddering about the way Lionel is following Vince's pattern. Maybe it makes sense, but my opinion is that Lionel will try to be more compassionate would be the way to go. Nonetheless, proud of the work, and LET'S GO LIONS!!!

It’s the little things that make this even better. I like how for much of the conversations, Lionel just sits quietly in the corner and either smirks or is stunned, and often just sits in silence. And his character begins to expand, still with trepidation. It’s brilliant

I like that it was basically an afterthought delivered by an underling. Minny is that level of beneath the top tier, and it's hilarious.

Already shaping up to be one of my favorite ongoing Division skits. NFC / AFC East rightfully gets a lot of love, but so far the North (NFC in particular) seems to have Tom firing on all cylinders. Ref as the Packer’s consigliere is a masterstroke.
