Part 2 The tensions that existed between the band members and Tarja, including Tarja's husband/manager Marcelo Cabuli (an executive at an Argentinian record company), built up over the course of several years until in 2005 a breaking point was reached and the whole band couldn't take it any longer. Here are some facts that contributed to the final decision to fire Tarja: - Tarja kept hidden from the band that she got married to Marcelo Cabuli. Marcelo was not liked by the band. - Marcelo, as her manager, meddled too much in band affairs that were not his business in the first place and created a wedge between Tarja and the band. As a result Tarja kept a certain distance from the band that certainly is not good if you are in this band together, working extensively with eachother. - Marcelo did everything he could for Tarja to get more money out of it. This didn't sit well with the band, because they were formed based on equality. - Tarja never participated in writing and arranging the songs. - Tarja never rehearsed with the band and only came to the studio to record the songs. - Tarja didn't want to travel with the band during tours. Instead she traveled with her husband. - Before shows Tarja remained in her own dressing room, only to join the rest of the band while going on stage. - Tarja apparently couldn't understand that Nightwish always was and always will be all about the band as a collective and not about her as an individual, eventhough she was the front woman and main vocalist. Therefore, certain often displayed diva-like behaviour was not accepted by the band. - Marcelo convinced Tarja that she didn't need Nightwish and would be better off going on a solo career. - Tarja had already planned to leave the band after the next album and tour. Directly after the final concert of the tour and recording of their DVD "End Of An Era" Tarja got fired by the whole band unanimously by means of an open letter, in which content she could not recognise herself, as she stated herself the next day in an open letter as well (both letters can be found on internet). Fact is that Nightwish is hugely popular in Finland and is regarded as partly responsible for putting Finland on the global map. Tarja is very well liked and highly regarded in Finland. She is adored by fans and media. Needless to say that it came as a shock to everyone to learn that she was fired from Nightwish. It was all over the news on tv and radio, in newspapers and magazines nationwide and internationally. Even the prime minister of Finland was briefed about the news. Fans and media were outraged. As the leader of the band, Tuomas alone was blamed by media and fans for firing the people's darling Tarja, eventhough that decision was made unanimously by everyone in the band. He took the blame upon himself and had not only to deal with Tarja leaving, but also all of the fallout and backlash that came with it. This left Tuomas severely heartbroken and heavily depressed. Any speculations about Tuomas having had romantic feelings for Tarja are not proven and not confirmed. There still are some speculations that he might have had suicidal thoughts at that time. Whether that's true or not is only known to the poet himself and a few insiders. The band as a whole was deeply scarred by these events. Tuomas never fully recovered from this. He wrote the song 'The Poet And The Pendulum' about his feelings of it all and figuratively committed suicide in the lyrics. Fact is that, during what Tuomas calls "the dark period", he went home to his parents (his "Dreamer's Hideaway") for recuperation and had a long talk with them. The lyrics in the last part of the song are in fact the words Tuomas' mother spoke to him to console him. During the performance of that last part of the song Emppu and Marko are standing by his side to support him. Because it still hurts him to this day Tuomas doesn't wear his ear monitor throughout the performance of 'The Poet And The Pendulum'. The anger the band felt towards Marcelo can be heard in the song 'Master Passion Greed', where Marko spills his guts out. This song will never be played live, because the meaning behind the song is no longer relevant and the band doesn't want to rehash those feelings. The only exception is 'The Poet And The Pendulum', because this song is composition-wise nothing less than a masterpiece. Floor gets compared a lot to Tarja. Both ladies are great, but Floor is the most versatile and has better techniques. Floor finished her singing studies at the Rock Academy and also briefly studied classical and operatic singing. Besides that she is also a vocal coach. She can sing operatic, rock, metal, pop and she can do low growls/grunts. That makes her equipped to sing all songs from both Tarja's era and from Anette's era and much more. Floor manages to elevate songs that were originally written for Tarja and Anette to a much higher level. Anette has strong vocals and a beautiful sound, but her vocal abilities and style do not fit the band's musical character. Floor has an amazing vocal range and a great feeling for dramatics. She definitely knows how to tell a story and uses body language, gestures and facial expressions to get the story across to the audience. She has the ability to get into the emotions of the lyrics and deliver the songs as if she's living and feeling those emotions at that exact moment. That's pure talent. However great a singer Tarja is, she also sings with much emotion in her voice, she's never been able to deliver it like Floor does. Tarja lacks the imagination to empathize with the lyrics and their meaning. Floor really makes you feel the songs as they were written and how they're meant to be heard. She makes the songs come to life even more. Floor feels very much at home within Nightwish and she considers her fellow bandmates to be her brothers. Fortunately for the band, ever since Floor joined there's a peaceful, happy, loving and mutually respectful atmosphere in the band. No drama, no diva behaviour, just hard working and having lots of fun in the process, as it should be. It pays off very well and that definitely can be heard in Tuomas' compositions. Floor also (finally) gained more notoriety in her own country of the Netherlands as well as worldwide by participating in the television show "Beste Zangers" 2019. You should really check it out, I'm sure you'll love it. Enjoy!
Just seeing Floor's "Roar" face @ 10:00 makes this a fun video. Less of a "multi-style vocal feature" song compared to Ghost Love Score to be sure, but displaying lots of her/their stage energy. Marko and Floor are a dynamic duo! A galloping good time.
Fun fact, today (October 1st, still here in America) is the 7 year anniversary of Floor's first performance with Nightwish after they parted with their former (second) singer Anette Olzon...she didn't officially join as permanent vocalist until a year later in 2013)
And 3 days after the Kame-wish/Nighte-lot Karaoke night at the Ogden in Denver (hence Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours). That was a interesting experience. A friend and I road tripped to that gig after seeing them the night before (ah, to be young and have no responsibilities again) at the Beaumont Club in KC (Annette's penultimate performance with the band. She was pretty good, though was definitely not as sharp later in the set dealing with the illness and fatigue).
That is for sure another one he needs to check out. After listening to floor sing that song live do many times. I heard the studio version with Annette a few days ago. I have to say, I really like Floor's vocals on it a lot better.
Yep any of floors performances on beste zangers will blow your sox off. Also henk poort version of the sound of silence on the same show is well worth a listen. Great reaction my friend
The thing about that . .is .. the other singers on the show are Friggin' GREAT!!! No kidding. When she sang the first song to 'Uncle Henke' they .. other than Tim and Henke .. had no idea what was about to happen ..
Marco would make a great Cartoon Villain...(LMAO), cause it is true yet he is one of the nicest people you could meet and the reason so many people do duets with him. His voice is amazing when you consider he had botched surgery on his vocal chords in the early 1990's and had to learn to sing all over again, so this is him after working his a$$ off to get back to what he truly loves doing. If you want to see and hear Floor's range and abilities the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers has her doing 4 different genres in 4 different languages before the 5th installment where she did Lady Gaga's Shallow in a softer and more melodic tone than Lady Gaga and her duet partner Bradley Cooper. That show had blown away even the most die-heart Floor fan as she is performing in a small studio with a studio band and in front of 6 professional singers who are amazed each week at what she does. Here the musicianship is so tremendous you forget this is a LIVE performance. Floor and Marco have really become a dynamic duo especially LIVE with their performances. Great reaction and explanation by you. Check out the Beste Zangers if you get a chance as all of the singers are top notch and the songs are only 4 mins or so long.
To hear a softer side of Marco's voice check out, While Your Lips are Still Red. To hear a little surprise from Floor check out, Your's is an Empty Hope. Just pay attention to Floor in the chorus.
Adding to the numerous suggestions to try out their song 'Song of Myself' live from Wacken too, as in that song I feel is where they show how well their voices can blend together!
I think you might get some mileage out of the Beste Zangers stuff that features some of the Netherlands' best singers - including Floor Jansen (who is currently topping the Dutch chart with a song she sang on Beste Zangers.) There's also a Belgian version that's worth a look.
Sam Scott-Thorne: Session Singer & Vocal Coach btw some of Marcos grittines is compelled by circumstance. He has nerve damage on his vocal chords from a failed surgery. He has no clean falsetto at all and the nerve damage effects the way he is able to sing.
@@SSTVocalCoach Saw your reaction video of Phantom of the Opera from Nightwish. If you're interested on saturday Oct 12th, Floor and Henk Poort (opera singer) will do the Phantom of the Opera as a duet in the last episode of Dutch TV show Beste Zangers, which is a duet episode. I don't know which style they will do it but I think it will be really interesting. Henk already did the Dutch opera version of the Phantom: ruclips.net/video/XnJwXEzjbcw/видео.html. Slightly different than Marco lol
@@blegi1245 There's an interesting acoustic version of Marco's latest solo single here ruclips.net/video/kFsMvesXD9A/видео.html Sam is better placed to say what effects have been applied in post than I am- I only get a bit of reverb. Shows his current upper clean range quite well.
To see how versatile Floor really is you need to see her singing in Beste Zangers a current Dutch reality show she is taking part in. Her choice of songs and styles each week has been a revelation and a masterclass in different vocal techniques.
The song was written when Annett Oltzen was lead vocalist and she was more of a pop singer. Floor is singing this song with her dynamics in mind and of respect
If you want to hear Marco's voice blend perfectly you should give a listen to Sinergy - Lead Us To War. Unfortunately I don't know if it's available live, not in great quality anyway since it's from around 2000.
Part 1 Congratulations! You're discovering one of the best bands in the world! Welcome to the beautiful and wonderful world of Nightwish and its huge loving, loyal, very dedicated and ever growing fan community! If you choose to come with us down this Elvenpath and take this Last Ride Of The Day, you're in for a real musical treat. Once your senses get tantalised with Élan, you will Shudder Before The Beautiful, let the Dark Passion Play with your emotions and let yourself be filled with wonder and amazement on this epic journey through this Imaginaerum. Prepare yourself for the End Of Innocence. Open your heart to the Wishmaster and enjoy exploring everything Nightwish has to offer. To start off, here's some information for you to get acquainted with the band, it's members, it's history and it's vision. Nightwish is a female fronted Symphonic Metal band from Kitee, Finland. It was founded in July 1996 by keyboard player Tuomas (pronunciation: u = w, o as in 'cold') Holopainen (pronunciation: pai like 'pie'). No less than a musical genius, a beautiful sensitive poet and a visionary. Nightwish gets its name from the song 'Nightwish', one of the first three songs that appeared on the first demo of the band. Tuomas is the heart, lifeblood, mind and soul of Nightwish. He is the composer and main lyricist. He also wrote most of the orchestral arrangements and does most of the mixing as well. It's fairly safe to say that 95% of everything Nightwish comes from Tuomas. Tuomas' main influences come from film music, video games and fantasy novels. He's a passionate gamer and considers himself to be an Escapist. Tuomas draws inspiration from fantasy novels, including Wishmaster, Escapist, and Wanderlust, which have elements from the Dungeons & Dragons Dragonlance series, and Stephen King's The Dark Tower series among others, but also fairy tales, folklore, myths, saga's, legends, real life, history, nature, religion, science, evolution. His biggest influence and inspiration is film score composer Hans Zimmer. Tuomas' greatest ambition is to write film music. At its inception Nightwish was meant to be a folk band with a keyboard player, an acoustic guitarist and a vocalist. In 1996 guitarist Erno "Emppu" (pronunciation: pu like 'poo') Vuorinen (pronunciation: i = ee as in 'bee') was the first to join the band, playing acoustic guitar. Also in 1996 Tuomas asked his then classmate from the music academy, the classically trained female operatic singer Tarja (pronunciation: tar like 'car', j = y as in 'yes') Turunen (pronunciation: both u's = oo as in 'look') to join. When Tarja was 6 years of age she took piano lessons from Tuomas' mother. Tuomas was very impressed by the way Tarja had developed her voice into a strong soprano, that he decided Nightwish should be a metal band. Hence forward they swapped the acoustic guitar for an electric guitar and decided to experiment with drums. In 1997 Emppu's friend and drummer Jukka (pronunciation: j = y as in 'yes', ukka like 'ooka' as in 'bazooka') Nevalainen (pronunciation: neva like slang for 'never', lai like 'lie') joined. Finally, in 1998 bass player Sami (pronunciation: sa as in 'elsa', mi like 'me') Vänskä (pronunciation: both ä's = a as in 'van' or 'can') joined. Nightwish was complete. In 2001, due to musical differences and behavioral issues, Sami was replaced by current bassist and great vocalist Marko Hietala (pronunciation: hi like 'he', et as in 'met', ala as in 'massala'). In 2005, due to several serious issues, Tarja was fired from the band. This will be explained later as the impact of it was so severe that Nightwish almost ceased to exist. In 2007 Tarja was replaced by pop/rock singer Anette Olzon from Sweden. In 2012 multi instrumentalist Troy Donockley from the UK, who plays Uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes), bouzouki, different flutes, acoustic guitar and sings occasionally, was asked to work and perform live with Nightwish on a regular basis. Also in 2012, due to the main fact that all bands members agreed she vocally did not fit well with the band and the musical direction they were going into, together with the fact that she wasn't accepted very well by the fans and the media, on top of that the facts that she was pregnant and later got hospitalized because of a flu during the North American leg of a world tour and the band almost had to cancel a show, Anette was fired and temporarily replaced by the current and most versatile singer of them all, Floor Jansen (pronunciation: j = y as in 'yes', a as in 'car') from the Netherlands. In 2013 both Troy and Floor became official members. In 2014, due to health issues (insomnia), Jukka left the band temporarily and was replaced by his good friend and current drummer Kai Hahto (formerly Wintersun). As it turned out, in 2019 Jukka's temporary absence became permanent and Kai became an official member. Till this day Jukka remains very much involved with the band behind the scenes. This makes Nightwish complete as it is at this moment. To be continued ...
When there are two voices as distinctly good as Floor/Marco, why would anyone try to "blend" them? Any band would be lucky to have just one of this quality, let alone two
Wow! I don't think I've seen this one before. It was awesome! Floor blows my mind, once again! Her effortlessness throughout her range, so relaxed! Marco is sickening. In a good way!
Its Tarja = Tarya. I love this song. I love the intensity that Floor brought to it, I love the diversity in Floor's vocals and Marco, he is pretty amazing and his vocals meshed well with Floor's. Great Reaction.
Yes, this is very different from what you saw from Floor, and I think it's mostly the song, it's from Anette's era, and her vocals were more "pop", much less operatic, so I think the whole song gets that "less operatic" feel to it than most Nightwish songs. One of my favorites, nonetheless. The first song you heard from her was from Tarja's era, so the stacattos and the most operatic parts were in part due to it; she did add A LOT to her performance of Ghost Love Score which was not in the studio version, though.
I think it's meant to sound so, tht in the beginning there's 2 voices telling the story. Not only the voice quality, but there are differences in the melodies themselves, at least at times: Marko's voice going up, so Floor's is going lower. And then late they blend their voices (Marko is that gravelly neither), and kinda 'declare': leave the city of fools etc., in one voice.
You definitely take a look at Floor version of Lady Gaga's song "Shallow" sang in the Dutch TV-show "Beste Zangers (Best singers)". She is so ridiculously versatile. ruclips.net/video/M68pe4a_9zk/видео.html
good reaction, im glad you enjoyed it :) You will find that Floor 'windmills' with her hair ALOT...and like you I dont know how she doesnt get a headache everytime! (I have long hair like Floor and Ive tried....very unsuccessfully!) Anyways, im glad you enjoyed this one, which is a bit of a fan favourite. Of the remaining songs on your poll, to be honest i think you'll enjoy all of them so please do get round to checking them all out, but i think the next one should be Yours is an empty hope .....very different again, and listen out for the chorus of that one! ;p Other Marko songs with Nightwish include the Islander and While Your Lips Are Still Red (the viking has a romantic side with that one!) both of which you should check out too :)
Kamelot - Elizabeth I,II,III (live: One Cold Winter's Night) Similar genre of music. The singer Roy Khan is probably my favourite ever, he has such an amazing voice and sings with such passion, grace, power, and emotional content. You really must react to them.
It's definitely poppy but the singer it was originally made for often called her the pop metal singer or something like that? It was made for Annette who doesn't have a bad voice but is definitely not nightwish material
They have several different ways they take their music. The more artistic songs like "ghost love score, the poet and the pendulum or te greatest show on earth.. They are like an epic multipart play set to metal music. others are more heavy metal high energy songs like "Romanticide", "song of myself" or " dead chest of wonders" live at Wacken 2013.
Ghost Love Score was a Tarja song (operatic style) while this was written for Annette who had a pop style voice. Floor can really do it all. In this, I admire how Floor allows Marco to take the melody while still keeping her power on the harmony part.
Check out 'The Poet and the Pendulum' it even made me, who's lost the majority of his emotions, cry like a baby. Also check out 'Yours is an empty hope' live at wembley.
I know I’m late to this party, but if you think he makes an excellent villain, you need to hear him as the Phantom with Tarja on Phantom of the Opera. He captures the insane stalker vibe perfectly.
Hello Sam, your source video link for "7 Days to the Wolves" is not the best audio/video quality one available (it's ok, but not the best). Come on sam...your behind the power curve...let's get nightwishing bro...howbout...ghost river wacken 2013....more songs from this concert...hell floor has a couple of nice songs from her early 2000s bands...oh and cannot forget every song she sang and colabed with on the show beste zangers...cumonnnn man....lets getit
Hi !! I loved your reaction, but I liked how you paid attention to everything and in great detail, considering that you knew absolutely nothing about Nightwish and the song, your comments were incredible, you made me laugh with your descriptions about the appearance of Floor and What did you call Emppu. I want you to react to "Romanticide" "Storytime" "The poet and the pendulum" Greetings from Argentina Please do not let me down
"Is This Where Hero's and Cowards Parts Ways"! Marko had a botched throat polyp surgery several years ago, which probably caused his voice to be gravelly naturally. Great reaction S S-T.
Have you checked out Song Of Myself (Live at Wacken 2013) and The Poet And The Pendulum (live at Wembly) yet? (Note: if you do Poet and The Pendulum, do a little research about the backstory and do the one with lyrics)
Max The Metalhead oh believe me, I went back and re edited, adding in little breaks (I even made a little break video with elevator music) but it just kept blocking. After the 8th attempt I just gave up :(
Great reaction as always!! This time another Portuguese song: ruclips.net/video/JnwLLiVcsBQ/видео.html and just so you know I grew up listening to this kind of song!! (P.S. Since portuguese music is all about feelings I would like you to tell us what this song and the others I've been recomending in PT made you feel. If you don't mind of course! Thx again for being amazing!
Yours is an empty hope, wembley version. There is a little surprise there ;)
Yes! I really want to see his reaction to that little surprise.
@@horseshoe_nc Me 2! Sam know by now, that Floor is a voice-chameleon, but I don´t think, he will be expecting this :D
Hell yeah!!
ABSO-freakin-LUTELY!!!
Definitely, that would be very interesting.
In the same concert you can hear a different style from Marco He sings lead in When Your Lips are Still Red and its amazing.
Yes! That is a good one. It really shows off the softer side of Marco's voice.

Try Song of myself or romanticide 😊
Thank You! Really nice one! Excellent way to start morning😊
Love watching you react to Nightwish. Top job! More please!
They blend when they want to.. it’s actually pretty amazing.
*Floor Jansen - Vilja lied | Beste Zangers 2019* 😍👍
Please react to Nightwish's 'Poet and the Pendulum' live at Wembly. It's another stunning performance.
Adding to the numerous suggestions to try out their song 'Song of Myself' live from Wacken too, as in that song I feel is where they show how well their voices can blend together!
One of their best songs. Floor knocks it completely out of the park again. And Marko... these divine duets...
👍🤗🤩 *Nightwish -Song Of Myself (2013, Live, at Wacken)* 🤘
Romanticide, song of myself, ever dream, so many great choices and a new album coming out next year. Check Floor on Best Zangers 2019. She is amazing!
Nice song to choose, definitely on of my favorite song. Thank you for your nice reaction to this.
I think you might get some mileage out of the Beste Zangers stuff that features some of the Netherlands' best singers - including Floor Jansen (who is currently topping the Dutch chart with a song she sang on Beste Zangers.) There's also a Belgian version that's worth a look.
I have one on the way Roger, thanks for the heads up though! :)
@@blegi1245 There's an interesting acoustic version of Marco's latest solo single here

Sam is better placed to say what effects have been applied in post than I am- I only get a bit of reverb.
Shows his current upper clean range quite well.
Another wonderful reaction from you :) More Nightwish please :D
To see how versatile Floor really is you need to see her singing in Beste Zangers a current Dutch reality show she is taking part in. Her choice of songs and styles each week has been a revelation and a masterclass in different vocal techniques.
The song was written when Annett Oltzen was lead vocalist and she was more of a pop singer.
Floor is singing this song with her dynamics in mind and of respect
The poet and the pendulum. The best nightwish song
Poet and the Pendulum with Floor is amazing
This was such a good time. Thank you for your time and expertise........... :-) This song is one of my favorites..........
How am I cracking you up??? 😂
@@Grizzlox Just the things you are saying in that other place I found you or you found me or you revealed who you are........... :-)
@@fdsannie I love making Nightwish memes
As a Stephen King fan I get a special thrill from this one. That & the "Floor Roar" which is one of my all time favorite Floor moments!
@@Green-Lyon :-)
Good lad! You've done your research. Excellent reaction. Think we have a new fan!
At times Floor even sounds like a wolf howling. It's crazy how she can manipulate her voice.🤘👍
If you want to hear Marco's voice blend perfectly you should give a listen to Sinergy - Lead Us To War. Unfortunately I don't know if it's available live, not in great quality anyway since it's from around 2000.
Part 1
Congratulations!
You're discovering one of the best bands in the world!

Floor can do it all: Check out the song "Disdain" from "Revamp" live at "Graspop" Emppu does ALL THE GUITARING
While your lips are still red, Marco on the softer side. I think its the best example of his range.
Floor just have a God given talent of making any song better.
This is my favourite night wish song
When there are two voices as distinctly good as Floor/Marco, why would anyone try to "blend" them? Any band would be lucky to have just one of this quality, let alone two
Wow! I don't think I've seen this one before. It was awesome! Floor blows my mind, once again! Her effortlessness throughout her range, so relaxed! Marco is sickening. In a good way!
The Islander Rock in Rio ft Tony Kakko. Marko & Tony together are so beautiful and angelic.
Hei! I'm from Finland. Your's an empty hope, The poet and the pendulum.....I really like your reactions :)
Amazing concert , amazing song , amazing amazing reaction 🤘🤘.... Endlees forms most beautiful - live tampere .
So you've seen 2 of her 100 different styles now, keep going :)
Yours is an empty hope live at Wembley please next!! You'll hear another side of Floor... ^^
If you love the bass in this one and the heaviness, Romanticide (Wacken 2013) is fantastic for it. 😊
The poet and the pendulum from this show is a vocal masterpiece, but you absolutely have to read the background of the song before you listen to it!
Good song choice (I think you're the first vocal coach reaction to this song), nice reaction, and great vocal's analysis too.
Its Tarja = Tarya. I love this song. I love the intensity that Floor brought to it, I love the diversity in Floor's vocals and Marco, he is pretty amazing and his vocals meshed well with Floor's. Great Reaction.
Emppu is the spirit of Nightwish. Very happy and funny guy.
Emppu is great ;).
If you want hear more from Marco . He got his own band call Tarot . Angel of pain live is a good song to begin with !
His new album is awesome too!
You definitely take a look at Floor version of Lady Gaga's song "Shallow" sang in the Dutch TV-show "Beste Zangers (Best singers)". She is so ridiculously versatile. ruclips.net/video/M68pe4a_9zk/видео.html
Epica - Sancta Terra (feat Floor Jansen) Live Retrospect show
this one needs you
Marco could play an excellent villain, but he could never be one. Gotta love Marco.
It always sounds to me that they sing "7 Days To The Waltz" for the first time :D
Man, I love your reactions and analysis. You should definitely check out Kamelot - Abandoned + when the lights are down live.
good reaction, im glad you enjoyed it :) You will find that Floor 'windmills' with her hair ALOT...and like you I dont know how she doesnt get a headache everytime!
Kamelot - Elizabeth I,II,III (live: One Cold Winter's Night)
Similar genre of music.
The singer Roy Khan is probably my favourite ever, he has such an amazing voice and sings with such passion, grace, power, and emotional content. You really must react to them.
that look you give at 8:02 - 8:10 is priceless lol
I love this song.. Nice reaction coach.
I would love for you to react to Nightwish - The Islander :D
ight, if no one is going to say it, I am... Nightwish, Poet and the Pendulum, also live at Wembley!
It's about "wolves" being after you and you running faster and faster gaining momentum, not even stopping at the end of the song :'D
Give a listen to one with Anette as well, then you've heard all singers of Nightwish during their time
Please do ReVamp Disdain live at Grasspop. ReVamp is Floor's band prior to Nightwish.
I'm just stopping in to say I rather do enjoy your reactions & keep up the good work! Excellent content
Cheers from middle of nowhere Australia
regine velasquez "piece of sky" and love story "where do I begin"
It's definitely poppy but the singer it was originally made for often called her the pop metal singer or something like that? It was made for Annette who doesn't have a bad voice but is definitely not nightwish material
Do this one: Even more pronounced collaboration between Floor and Marco
"The Greatest Show On Earth" (Live @ Tampere)"
They have several different ways they take their music. The more artistic songs like "ghost love score, the poet and the pendulum or te greatest show on earth.. They are like an epic multipart play set to metal music. others are more heavy metal high energy songs like "Romanticide", "song of myself" or " dead chest of wonders" live at Wacken 2013.
Ghost Love Score was a Tarja song (operatic style) while this was written for Annette who had a pop style voice. Floor can really do it all. In this, I admire how Floor allows Marco to take the melody while still keeping her power on the harmony part.
Magical, electric, guitar monster hobbit.
Do a SABATON reaction!!!
STORYTIME from the Wacken 2013 performance is also a good one to listen to
Oh my, stumbled on your reaction to my favorite song of my favorite band, had to sub. Lets see what else you have on your NW reactions allready.
I’m surprised I’m saying this as I adore Floor, but Anette’s voice suits this song a lot more
Next check out "Poet and the Pendulum"
Then all of Beste Zangers with Floor
Really Great reaction.
Next got to do Romanticide!!
The official live version, Emppu shreds in that!
High Hopes (Live End of an Era) next to experience Marko's abilities!
Yours is an empty hope, wembley version! Defo a great one!
Seconded. Baltic cruise version has more energy, but video and sound mix from Wembley is far better.
When Floor howls off mike!😀So cool!!!
have you done the phantom of the opera w/ floor and henk poort ??..
btw: love the cat-mug!
Hi Sam, If you want to hear a fantastic performance, Floor Jansen with Henk Poort with The Phantom of The Opera
Hello Sam, your source video link for "7 Days to the Wolves" is not the best audio/video quality one available (it's ok, but not the best). For highest possible audio/video quality, react to this 4k resolution video: ruclips.net/video/LOSsvdvixwk/видео.html. Difference is noticeable.
Just heads up as you still haven't started the reaction. Thanks and take care!
Listen to "The Islander", he can sing without compression or gravel. And his stagepresence in Tampere is unbelievable!
6:19 Floor=Valkyrie
pls react to yours is an empty hope too BC FLOOR GROWLS IN THAT SONG
Emppu is beautiful, in all ways!
pls check out "Devil and the deep dark ocean", buenos aires version.
Asiaa ! 💪
Have you checked out Song Of Myself (Live at Wacken 2013) and The Poet And The Pendulum (live at Wembly) yet? (Note: if you do Poet and The Pendulum, do a little research about the backstory and do the one with lyrics)
I did do P&P, but it's blocked :(
Oh! That's sad.🙁 YT's copyright stuff is getting out of hand.
@@SSTVocalCoach a pause is required at each part. Only then the uploads don't get blocked.
Max The Metalhead oh believe me, I went back and re edited, adding in little breaks (I even made a little break video with elevator music) but it just kept blocking. After the 8th attempt I just gave up :(
Oh no! That sucks!😔 I'm sorry
