As a guy who was frantically trying to figure out how to install this brand new carseat when my wife went to the hospital a month early for delivery, this video was gold. After reading through Evenflo's 120-page manual for JUST the car seat, and searching in vain for their own install videos which were nonexistent, I did like most people probably end up doing and went to youtube. There were a few other videos which were more or less helpful but this one was well-shot and detailed and most inportantly, NOT 120 pages of reading with dark pictures you cant make out.

So unbelievably happy you made this video. I’m due in less than 2 weeks and struggling to install the exact same car seat that you have into my 2020 Qashqai. We have opted to install it behind the passenger seat using the LATCH method. It’s not moving side to side but boy is it moving upward like when one pops a wheelie (from the end where baby’s back will be once the car seat is attached to the base). Does not seem secure AT ALL. Don’t know if it’s the indented shape of the vehicle’s seat back that is the issue and installing the car seat in the middle is not an option. Should I increase the angle of the level and stuff some blankets near the edge of the seat? If so, are you able to make a video on how to best do this? I’d be willing to send you a video to show you the set up if that would help. I’m desperate to get this sorted out before my baby’s arrival. PLEASE HELP!!! 😩😩😩
Hi, I would highly recommend you check out my other video on "How to install an infant car seat using the seat belt| Evenflo Safemax" and try installing it that way first. Sometimes, the seat belt method holds the base down tighter and eliminates that floating motion. Let me know if that solves the problem? @@joey101.C0 Wanted to tackle this yesterday but was unable to so I made it my mission to figure this out today. I got my installation double checked at the highway patrol police station and all is good. Said I shouldn’t be concerned about the back end as some give is needed in the event of an accident. I’m going to trust in that and the advice you have given and hope that the day never comes when I have to test out the reliability of the installation. I’ve done my most and absolute best to ensure my child’s safety and that’s all I can do. Again, thank you for your videos and for your response to my comments.

Does the installation differ if it’s a different model of the evenflo? We have the safe max lite max

I was wondering if this one can also face forward after the baby gets bigger. I’ve tried to have it facing forward but doesn’t work.
The infant carrier can not be used in a forward facing position. It's only to be used as a rear facing infant car seat. There are convertible seats on the market that are 3 in 1 and work rear facing, forward facing, and as a booster seat. Check out my channel for reviews on the next stage car seats.

is there a preferred or more safer way to install the car seat base ? seatbelt vs latch ? can we use both ? my child would have one seat for himself and it will be the same going forward .

Mine still has some lift towards the front of the car. What am I doing wrong?
Try using the recline feature to adjust the base or install it with the seat belt.

Do you need to used the seat beat ?

Is there a way to adjust the recline angle of the child seat?

I have a question why is the baby facing back see lots of video like that
Rear facing is the "only" way you can use the infant car seat to transport your child. Also, studies show that keeping your child in the rear facing position as long as possible is safer in the event of an unexpected collision. I hope this information was helpful.

Hi, that button you press at 5:10 is a problem for me. Before installing it worked fine, after installation, I am pressing it to lose the belts but it is NOT at all working to loosen up the belt.
Okay, I got it out. It seems there is a manufacturing defect where the button needs to be pressed really hard to loosen the belt.
If it's in snug, try to put some weight on the base and try pressing the button again. (Always to refer to your owners manual)
