I love watching professionals. (I'm talking about the guy in the background fishing. He's the only one in this video that LOOKS like he knows what he's doing). Great job guys & fun video! Thanks
I know this is old but I just wanted to say that is an awesome pole holder, I’m on my way to make one now. It looks like y’all had so much fun making that video too! Good friends-good times! FYI the sawszall would’ve worked great and not shook so much if you would hold the fence/guide of the sawzall tight against the pipe while cutting. Anyway, lines tight guys!
I make PVC rod holders for personal use. If you use a heat gun on PVC, you can cleanly cut it with a utility knife so it feels just like cutting through soft leather. Just draw your cut line first before heating until the PVC gives to slight pressure. Saves you a ton of heartache and sweat.
that's a great idea guys, I surf fish and it's a pain to put my drink on the sand .I'm going to get my husband to make me one ,to keep my beer sand free while fishing. lol you guys rock ! Fish on ! 😎👊🎣🍺
The Sticks Outfitter mine is simple, I'm waiting for my husband to make it like the one in the video, but I have to wait ,my husband just went through chemo.
The Sticks Outfitter here's mine that I just used yesterday. _lh3.googleusercontent.com/Gk1HzzDz1pMIAArR2QoGfmu2Em62GTXbncEJIOvBteoT1h9i-JSiayRRmvnW37J7UfBexSAW3lM_
The Sticks Outfitter thanks, as soon as he builds it I'll send it in , he got the cancer from agent orange in Nam . have a blessed day and keep posting great videos.
Here's an idea to make this even simpler and easier to build...eliminate the midway cut, the T & 90 degree angle fitting and instead utilize the already existing, unused hole of the cross fitting at the top to attach the same coupling sequence into to form the soda holder...Less labor, less parts and structurally stronger IMHO...
That's a good idea! We were planning on putting a cutting board on top to cut bait on and work with the lures, etc. Plus, we like how easy it is to reach for the lower cup holder haha. Great point though, that would save at least $5-$8 I'm sure
Im sure you wouldve figured this out but if you use the cross tee for the cup holder and the regular tee up top you could have 2 cup holders if you double up on 90*s and reducers.
Can you please give me the supply list I need from the hardware store and the measurement list for cutting. Great video keep up all the great work. PS I am a new subscriber
Thanks for subscribing! The arms are about 6-8 inches long, the body is about 3-4 feet tall, and all the supplies you'll need are listed in the beginning of the video. All piping is 1.25" wide unless stated otherwise in the video. We explain the measurements and supplies needed throughout the entire video
shaken beer with every bite? no thanks. but flashlight holder maybe.. and either swap that 4way with a 3way, or use it to elbow down with a bottle opener epoxied in
Oh man.. If I remember correctly, it was around $20-$25 because each coupling is a couple dollars and the cup holder is about 3-4.. we didn't use too much pipe so that helped with the cost! If you have an instagram account or facebook, be sure to send us the photo or tag us when you post it! Would love to see how it turns out for you
How are you going to get that monstrosity into the hard ground? You'd have to use some type of metal stake, four foot or so (two foot in the ground, two above), just to support it. A longer stake would probably even be better. And, of course, that also means a hammer big enough to drive that metal stake you use. Not very convenient.
I was just trying to be funny/sarcastic.. Yeah, it's not too ideal for clay and rocks. A metal steak would definitely help but does make it less convenient. Maybe hang it in a tree??? Haha!
The Sticks .. Well, don't want to drag this out. Your video isn't about me. I tried those small metal stakes to hold rods. Lol. Three out of the four (only needed two) bent on rocks before I could get them into the ground. The fishing is good here in the foot hills, but the rocks and clay are a challenge (understatement). Your tree idea might actually have some merit. Take care.
see if u hold your beer u can put a light in the cup holder.
and if u get a bite just finish the beer problem solved.
Hahaha sheer genius!!
One of the best videos I've seen very informational and entertaining good job guys

Great idea! Thanks for sharing.
Pretty cool ideal.....
Funny video😀 thanks for the great idea.tight lines.
Freaking awesome video!
Is that a three rod holder or just two?
(Why did you use a cross (at the interesection on the top)? Why not just a Tee?

Definitely. Just cost more money to have 2 cup holders.... and we're poor so we skimped out haha
Awesome! Thank you for sharing!
Can anyone tell me what size of pipe and everything I need I want to actually build one for myself that's pretty cool
We tell you all of that in the beginning of the video.
great idea thank you
Can you please give me the supply list I need from the hardware store and the measurement list for cutting. Great video keep up all the great work. PS I am a new subscriber

I've worn out a couple of "couplings" myself.
shaken beer with every bite? no thanks. but flashlight holder maybe.. and either swap that 4way with a 3way, or use it to elbow down with a bottle opener epoxied in
Those are great ideas - send us a picture on Instagram or Facebook when you make it!
Ok Thank You
How much did this project cost because i want to make one
Oh man.. If I remember correctly, it was around $20-$25 because each coupling is a couple dollars and the cup holder is about 3-4.. we didn't use too much pipe so that helped with the cost! If you push the sawzall harder into the pipe itll shake less
Oh we were pushin hard alright! Looking back, we were using the end of the blade a little bit too much.. the angle was definitely tough to cut though!
Im indonesia akan saya coba 😊
Cool guys
Thanks Marc, glad you like the video!
Man ive been every where i cant find the 1 1/4 x 1 1/2 and the other coupling
Question: Do you guys ever get too drunk to fish? Great video!
Keystone Light,,,, dam good beer, and cheap,,,, you can afford to spill a couple ...
I'm sharing this on my fishing collection on Google. ty 👌😎
Thanks for sharing! We appreciate it
What size pvc is the 4 ft cut?
All cuts are from the 1 1/4" PVC pipe
Thats a can of pork chops for those that prefer to drink their picnic lunch
Concentric reducer
That holder has more degrees than a college graduation in Arkansas.
funny shit guys !
I live on the ground amonge the flowers
$5 miter box would have helped a lot making this video.
What was that fish in the beginning?
Rainbow trout or brown trout if I remember right
ABS reducing couplings.
I gave you 600 likes,your welcome
You're awesome haha
The Sticks Outfitter thanks
👍🤠
My nickname for my girlfriend is "the rod holder" i hope nobody else made that joke.
it's a coupling
+David Cilny I knew it!
Jorts!!!!!!!!! Bwahahhahahah!

Don't fish on hard ground, or hold your rod if you do
The Sticks .. Not a criticism (I like it), just a thought. Sadly, where I'm at, the ground is pretty much always hard (clay, rocks, etc).
I was just trying to be funny/sarcastic.. Yeah, it's not too ideal for clay and rocks. A metal steak would definitely help but does make it less convenient. Maybe hang it in a tree??? Haha!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can Dig it
Was that an intended pun? haha - glad you dig it!
You forgot to add another tube to pee into
Lol - that's what the bushes are for
True, but then you would have to leave your poles unattended and we all know that's when bites happen
Haha love it!! Great thinking
ugh no way nty
Lazy fishing
