The event was attended by 400 leaders of the world's banking and investment community, gathering in Marrakech for the African Development Bank's annualsummit, concentrating on creating progress and investment across Africa.
The event featured electrifying musical performances by John Legend and Youssou N'Dour, and the after-show featuring Akon and Yasiin Bey (the artist formerly known as Mos Def).
The designs of Amine Bendriouich (Moroccan), Pierre Antoine Vettorello (French Ivoirian), Samantha Cole (British-Nigerian), and Mimi Plange (Ghanaian-born Californian) were brought together for the show by Ozwald Boateng. Featuring 30 models, including Sessilee Lopez and Sonja Wanda, the Made in Africa Foundation celebrated the enormous positivity coursing through the African continent and its diaspora in terms of creativity and commerce.
"Africa has been the inspiration of all great artists such as Picasso and designers like Yves Saint Laurent. As Africa rises and we see the African century our creativity in all the arts will be clear."
Ozwald Boateng, co-founder and Trustee of the Made in Africa Foundation
"For Africa to reach and exceed the growth rates needed to feed and house all of our people and become the powerhouse of the globe that it could be, needs a meeting of the minds of its creative genius and its finance gurus - this extraordinary event is the first of many!"
Chris Cleverly, CEO of the Made In Africa Foundation

The Made In Africa Foundation was founded in 2011 by Ozwald Boateng, Chris Cleverly, Kola Aluko, and Atlantic Energy to support and fund master plans and feasibility studies for transformational and large scale developments and infrastructure projects across the African continent.
"It's a well-known statistic that US$400 million of funding for feasibility studies and master plans across sub-Saharan Africa would develop over US$100 billion of infrastructure projects, which in turn would create a trillion dollars of value across Africa. The first step is often the hardest and we have created this Foundation with Atlantic Energy to make that step easier for Africans."
    Ozwald Boateng

Never let anyone know your plans before they're executed, they will know for themselves what you are doing when they see the succesful results of what you began. the spot light lacks humility.....sorry you had to learn the hard way Mos.
True humility is the (Quiet) pursuit of ones own excellence.
