Omg that's soo cool! I've also been planning to customize a tiny animatronic to make plushtrap. But an addition I wanted to add is a light sensor, one that makes him only able to move in the dark. I think that would be really cool. It will be complicated, but I know how to do it and I hope it will work out
Super cool!! For the longest time I've wanted to make some kind of Plushtrap doll or animatronic like this, and this gives me lots of inspiration and ideas haha.
Plushtrap sounding cute is almost more demonic lol. Man, you put so much work into this, and it looks awesome. I love how your partner comes to your rescue with really good ideas on how to do certain things, when you are stuck. Now THAT is couple goals. 😉😉
Imagine that thing going off in the middle of the night, you start fumbling around in the dark trying to figure out what the hell is making that noise, and you turn your torch on only to come face to face with this little terror!! 😱 Talk about a jump scare! It’s still pretty cool though
This looks amazing! You guys did such a good job on him he's so creepy and I want one so badly! 10:05 BTW as someone who does a lot of historical costuming if you don't want your fabric layers at the seam to slip and get out of alignment as you're feeding them into the sewing machine like that you can pin crossways with the ball of the pin nearly touching the edges of the fabric and the pin extending away from the cut edge like this: ------| |---0 ------| |---0 ------| |---0 Just make sure to pull them out as you sew so you don't hit the pin and have needle on your machine break. Flying pieces of sharp metal close to your face are not fun lol. 17:07 I'd recommend using a backstitch or running backstitch instead to secure velcro on future projects. A running stitch just isn't really strong enough for repeated tugging like it'll get with velcro and will eventually fail. Adding a backstitch even just every 3rd stitch will add a ton of strength to the seam.
Thank you so much! It’s so cool that you do historical costuming, that sounds incredible!!! I wasn’t having problems with the fabric slipping because the fleece sticks to itself a little bit, but I’ve always? Done that the other way? When I’m sewing clothes or similar (so, not fleece or fur) I put my pins horizontally but with the head of the pin near the bulk of the fabric. Have I been doing that wrong all this time? And I love a good backstitch but I was trying to not have much of the thread showing on the good side, so I just did a running stitch haha. I might do the, backstitch every third stitch thing though, I haven’t tried that before. Thank you!
@@tobyhorrorboy You're welcome! I love making clothes esp from the 1800s to early 1900s for costumes and wear a lot of retro 30s-60s pieces in my actual wardrobe lol. Facing the pins that way isn't wrong, really, it's mostly a "best practices" for efficiency kind of thing. It works with the pin heads either way but having them facing to the right, near your fabric edge, means you don't have to stop sewing to remove them. You can guide the fabric with your left hand while your right smoothly removes pins as they near the presser foot. As for the backstitch, if you want the neat stitches to show on the right side of the fabric you can pin the velcro in place, use a fabric pencil to mark on the side of the fabric where you want your neat stitches to be, and just sew that side up with the velcro hidden on the wrong side of the fabric. This will ensure the messier side is hidden with the velcro. Marking your stitch line like that will also help with sewing a straighter seam. It's admittedly a little more trouble but handsewing a nice top stitch always is lol.
I haven’t opened one up yet to check, but the whole nose is smaller than the top bit of my pinkie finger and much thinner. I couldn’t find any for sale online that small so I just assumed that they probably don’t even make them
"We are after her knees, so we cut them off" In the wrong context, this sounds horrifying 😂Imagine someone just walking by and that's all they hear from the video.
It’s a lot of extra work but if you have Rit dye available in Australia, you can dye non natural fabrics with it. If you have any more spring trap animatronics, you can use the same yellow fabric and dye it with a diluted green to give it that grungy look and get it closer to the original
idk how to explain this but sometimes it's hard for me to sit through videos based on someone's voice even if it's a video on something i'm really interested in, but your voice kept my attention really well and this video was really nice to watch!
EDDSWORLD LIKER SPOTTED IN MY COMMENT SECTION!!! I love Eddsworld! I’m planning on doing a Zanta animatronic in time for Christmas, and then I have a few more Eddsworld plans for the future!
This is amazing! You did an awesome job depicting the character, especially with the fragile nature of animatronics. From one crafter to another, (I do doll repaints) a couple of tips to help with painting: 1: I'd advice using varnish instead of mod podge, I've used mod podge for painting plastic before, and it unfortunately gummed up and ruined a project once. Varnish comes in a variety of finishes (matte, gloss, extra glossy, I've even seen glittery) and it made with that purpose in mind. 2: The eyes came out amazing, a lot of detail! But if you have concerns about characters looking wall-eyed or unfocused, painting the pupils slightly closer to the center of the face rather than the center of the sclera, it tends to look more focused (although try not to go too far, or it'll look cross eyed, it takes practice.)
That’s all so interesting, thank you for the tips! Is that just a water based varnish? And I’ll definitely try that next time I’m painting eyes! I love bjds and adore looking at other people’s customised dolls but I’ve never tried customing one myself because I’m not great at painting! I also collect Monster High, so there are a lot of dolls in this house haha
@@tobyhorrorboy Yep! Just a water based varnish. There are spray varnishes in aerosol cans, or bottles of them (think like a thick paint) you can thin down with water and apply with a brush or a makeup sponge. There are pros and cons for each method, so depending on your set up one might work better for you than the other

Thank you so much! That sounds AWESOME! And very hard to do, but I’m sure you can do it!!!
@@tobyhorrorboy Thank you so much :D you've really been a huge inspiration and your creations are awesome!
I love how the FNAF community looks at a game about haunted animatronics and go "hey, I should make that!"
A haunted animatronic in a horror game can be a little buddy in real life
Super cool!! For the longest time I've wanted to make some kind of Plushtrap doll or animatronic like this, and this gives me lots of inspiration and ideas haha.
Thank you so much! And that’s awesome! I’d definitely recommend it as long as you’re all good to cut up an animatronic toy, it’s a really fun hobby!
7:37 “We’re after her knees” is by far the funniest sh*t I’ve ever heard and I don’t know why lmao.
This was so well done and satisfying to watch
Thank you so much! And I’m so glad 😭
Plushtrap sounding cute is almost more demonic lol. Man, you put so much work into this, and it looks awesome. I love how your partner comes to your rescue with really good ideas on how to do certain things, when you are stuck. Now THAT is couple goals. 😉😉
Thank you so much! And yesss, he always gets asked the “does this look terrible” questions haha
@@tobyhorrorboy I mean, that's what they are there for right? 😋
I always love seeing your work, like even with the slight damage it is so perfect I still can’t believe your talent
Thank you so much!!! 🐰
Imagine that thing going off in the middle of the night, you start fumbling around in the dark trying to figure out what the hell is making that noise, and you turn your torch on only to come face to face with this little terror!! 😱 Talk about a jump scare! It’s still pretty cool though
“Cubbys legs are too small, so let’s cut them off 😊”
Cubby: *internal screaming*
Me: GURL WHA-
It’s okay he got new legs and now he’s extra tall
Everything fine, untill you can't find him before bedtime...
That hasn’t happened, yet
@@tobyhorrorboy yet... ?
WHAT DO YOU MEA- oh shit
ÆÆÆÆ
15:15 Ah yes! Sweet manmade horrors beyond comprehension. It looks great tho. He almost looks like he shed his skin and is offering it to you.
Sometimes horror happens when you’re doing arts and crafts on your desk. Thank you so much!
This looks amazing! You guys did such a good job on him he's so creepy and I want one so badly!
10:05 BTW as someone who does a lot of historical costuming if you don't want your fabric layers at the seam to slip and get out of alignment as you're feeding them into the sewing machine like that you can pin crossways with the ball of the pin nearly touching the edges of the fabric and the pin extending away from the cut edge like this:
------| |---0
------| |---0
------| |---0
Just make sure to pull them out as you sew so you don't hit the pin and have needle on your machine break.
23:09 if you want to add a small squeaker you might have luck in some dog toys for small dogs. Typically cheap ones, like dollar store.
I haven’t opened one up yet to check, but the whole nose is smaller than the top bit of my pinkie finger and much thinner. I couldn’t find any for sale online that small so I just assumed that they probably don’t even make them
this looks so good, and so realistic to, it actually looks like the real plushtrap from fnaf, this is so amazing
Thank you so much! 🐰
@@tobyhorrorboy your most welcome ☺
"We are after her knees, so we cut them off" In the wrong context, this sounds horrifying 😂Imagine someone just walking by and that's all they hear from the video.
I think two of my housemates heard me say that from the other room and they were horrified 🫣
It’s a lot of extra work but if you have Rit dye available in Australia, you can dye non natural fabrics with it. If you have any more spring trap animatronics, you can use the same yellow fabric and dye it with a diluted green to give it that grungy look and get it closer to the original
I did think about dying it (and I might try that in the future) but the caked on paint helps with the horrible mouldy look haha
0:30 take this audio without context and listen to it
idk how to explain this but sometimes it's hard for me to sit through videos based on someone's voice even if it's a video on something i'm really interested in, but your voice kept my attention really well and this video was really nice to watch!
I’m so happy to hear that, thank you so much! I worry that my voice is too flat or boring, so this really means a lot to me!
The fact you got actual blood on it makes it more hardcore and realistic. It may be accidental but it fits
Unfortunately I really like sewing, which means I’ve bled on half the stuff I’ve ever made. Plushtrap really came for me though, ouch
THE TORD MUG IN THE BACKGROUND??? EDDSWORLD LIKER SPOTTED IN THE WILD OMH
I commented before seeing the rest of the video, I didn't realize you were in the BJD hobby, that's really cool!
There are pros and cons for each method, so depending on your set up one might work better for you than the other
damn, i thought it was gonna be just a re-fur project (still amazing to me anyways) but you have so much skill and talent that you managed to completely alter this animatronic ! thats just incredible, what an cool artist !!
Thank you so much, you’re too kind! And the re-fur projects are always much faster haha
15:45 he is lamenting. LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME, he would scream, if he could. 10/10.
Haha thank you so much!
Everytime it cut to the bear moving around still not finished i kept imagining saying "Mother why have you forsaken me"
A part of me also wants to see the same version of this again but with a pristine plushtrap on his prime but finding animatronics like these must be hard and expensive but still this is great
I could do Spring Bonnie when he was new 👀
They are unfortunately a bit on the expensive side but hopefully I’ll be able to find a few more for cheap!
WAS THAT THE BITE OF ‘87?!? 😱
OH I am early- Plushtrap is one of my favs, this is so cool!! You are incredibly talented
Thank you so much!!! 🐰
What you did was time consuming, and fiddly, but the end result is fantastic! And your attention to detail is insane. You are incredibly talented. Bravo! 👏
Thank you so much!!!
THE PART WHERE HIS FACE FELL OFF AND HE WAS HOLDING IT- OML
Cannot tell you how horrified I was when that happened and I caught it on camera
dude I was so sad when I lost access to tiktok because I didnt get to see the end result while it was still in the making, but then I suddenly stumble upon this and its absolutely amazing.
Thank you so much!!! Don’t tell anyone, but my RUclips videos are way better than my tiktoks because I do better editing and actually voiceover them so this is definitely the best way to watch my silly little crafts haha
FINALLY SOMEONE MADE A PLUSHTRAP THING ISTG YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG I WAITED FOR THIS
Yes!!! It only took me as long as it did because I couldn’t find a good base animatronic to use!
LMAO THE ODA NENDROID you're so real for that
but back on topic, this is amazing! you are so careful with what you do in a way i only wish i could replicate
There are so many BSD Nendoroids in this house and they just announced a Ranpo one the other day! And thank you so much, this is such a lovely comment 😭
Shes like a plastic surgeon but for robot toys
He, but yes! 😈 a fun new look for every robot that comes into my house
The eyes looking different angles looks so cute, love it
Thank you! 🐰
The frase “ let’s take him apart to see how his insides work” taken out of context…
My housemates often overhear me recording these videos with no context 🫣
DUDE!!! TOBY AMAZING WORK! i love how you did the final show of plushtrap sharing this!
Thank you so much!!! I’ll do a showcase video so you can see him in proper lighting but we had a chair that needed to be painted so, hallway shots!
This project was simply amazing. And horrifying at the same time. xD
Also if anyone could tell me the name of the doll that messed around and got her kneecaps busted, I'd love to know. I'm always looking for ball-jointed dolls to fix up and the articulation looked lovely.
Thank you so much! I’m not completely sure what brand she is but I’ve seen similar dolls in $2 shops near me that look like they have the same articulation! And they’re around the $14 mark
@@tobyhorrorboy You're very welcome! I can only imagine how creepy he would be to just sit in a hallway. Or anywhere, really. Put him on the kitchen counter when you cook! Your couch when you watch TV! The perfect horror companion just for you!
I guess because of where I live all I can find jointed wise are like, Monster High dolls. Occasionally an articulated Babie will pop up, and if I'm super lucky an Ever After one. xD
The fact that this animatronic has actual blood on it. A morbid little cherry on top of this already amazing project.
Thank you! It is awfully appropriate for a project like this. He bit me too, but I don’t think any of the blood from that got on him
You single-handedly have made nightmares real. Be proud of how much of a harbinger you are.
Aw, thank you so much!

it would be super sick to see the golden freddy plush CC has somewhere in the future!! I'm personally thinking of sowing one for myself since the original plushies r hard to find.
I’d love to try something like that! And that’s probably a good idea, those are EXPENSIVE
The original bear is so cute omg I want him
He’s adorable, I wish I had one just to have and not customise!
I like how you say that gluing his eyelids in place is an awful sentence and not when you said that you “bought her to harvest her joints”
You know what, maybe that IS worse

you have inspired me to (slightly) overcome my fear of dolls and get one of those 3ft/91.44 cm tall ones that can walk around and turn it into this boi. in the books he's described as being 3ft tall and (probably by asking my one granddad bc he's invited stuff) make it freeze when you shine a light at it! wish me luck! Isn't plush trap a small version of spring trap? Who was originally yellow? Seems like the right base felt colour to me
Yeah, that was my thought process too! I got a lot of comments when I was posting his progress to TikTok saying that he’s meant to be green, but I think starting with a yellow base was the way to go!

For painting plastic, I would recommend MR. SUPER CLEAR, since I've see multiple doll repainters use it, and it turns the plastic to a paper-like texture that's easier to paint.
Yes! I do have MSC but I rarely use it because it’s much pricier than my other primers. I’m thinking of making some little figures though, and I might use it for that!
@tobyhorrorboy Ah, that makes sense! I'd love to see any little figures you make, so I'll be turning on my notifications.
