Yo I’m totally new in this area and Im trying to learn more and this video is super helpful! Also if you dropped that part 2 soon I wouldn’t be mad. Thanks dude for sharing!
Great video 👍one method I use on customs for decals is 3M automotive pinstripe tape it sticks really well and if u want shapes besides stripes u can get really wide ones and razor out whatever u want
While i won't pretend that price isn't a factor too i have to say... at this point i'd prefer buying the ali knock offs for the simple reason that they're AVAILABLE. So far i found exactly 1 comic shop that sells a (small) variety of Black Series figures outside of the "current" wave (which here in Austria generally boils down to "the pegwarmers from a year ago") and even those you only find at Smyth's. Our Gamestops don't even get the newer Gaming Greats figures (despite them being officially still Gamestop exclusives here - we just don't get any product), best they can offer is usually Imperial Rocket Troopers. I tend to buy any clone i can find legit in the wild (or for a reasonable price; that toy shop mentioned above *starts* Black Series at 50 Euro) - i just never find any. I'm fairly sure i got one of the last two Archive Codys in Vienna at a Heinz. It's sad.
Been waiting for these videos for a while. Love your work! I’ve always weathered my clones right on the plastic but will try your method of base coating white first. I don’t have an airbrush so I’ll have to go with the handpainting. Thanks for the video!
This is the most informative and accessible “getting started” video for figure customizing in general! I have a two questions. First, do you do any prep work before priming (e.g., wash with soap/water, clean with IPA, light sanding to get a tooth and create joint clearance for the extra paint layers, etc.)? Second, do you repaint the black under suit on your clones? Thanks in advance!
Thank for this video I want to start making custom clones and imperials. I do have to ask where did you get the stuff to make the neo Crusaders and what figure did you use for the body.
I’m curious about what those extra pads on the shoulders of the Gree/Jet Trooper suspenders are made of. Thanks so much for the excellently informative video!
Have you ever noticed that many of the 212th clones in revenge of the sith actually have two of those cylindrical detonators on their backs? Some also have very small back packs on so it might just be that but I'm pretty sure even some without backpacks seemed to have that cylinder placed on their upper back as well. It's hard to spot but it's in some of the utapau scenes.
Hello, Great video and very informative for custom figures. I was wondering if you could please send me the link for the Clone Trooper vent stripes. That would be appreciated. Thanks!
Girls: Where are all the good men? Me and my bois: Yes, That varnish method is siiiiick my dude. First apply mate varnish, let it dry and then gloss varnish for extra POP!
I have a question: I tried to get off the helmet of my Umbra ARC trooper (there is a face underneath). Now the thin part most likely has broken off of the part with the neck gaitor. Strangely, if I just put the helmeted head on, it sits for too high on the shoulders. Also compared to my other clones, and all of their helmets sit lower down. So I guess that can't be right, but I am not sure. Is it possible that I just pulled the part out? Or do you think it is completely broken and needs superglue?

Good on you for pulling this together! Looking forward to part 2 and 3!
Outstanding! I'm about to start customizing some clones. I'll be referring to this video a lot.
Happy to hear it! Best of luck
Looking forward to the other vids
You should place a rando clone trooper somewhere random each time you record lol. See if anyone notices it being in different spots between recordings
Great video, I learned some new things
Maybe one day I will muster up the courage for this! Appreciate the comprehensive nature of the video.
Very well done video! Would be curious to see more of the process!
There will definitely be more!
Can’t wait for then next video bro
Does this work for 3:75 clones

Availability is definitely a huge issue. It’s really convenient to have such a variety or figures available
Who makes the hexagon base plates. Awesome video thanks

You can buy Spray cans of Primer, I'd very much recommend it if you can't get an airbrush

I don't know about the base figure, but a lot of the base parts were 3d printed.

Good eye! It’s a model I commissioned my buddy Paul to make! I’m planning on uploading it one day.
Good to know! I’ll keep an eye out👍

Could you share the link to the Kama template when you have time?
How do you attach the kama?

Is this a similar process to what someone should do for your KotOR Mandalorian/Mandalore the Preserver kits?
