Isn’t the NFL the only team sport where the championship is at a neutral field usually? It’s also possible an nfl team gets to the Super Bowl and the venue is their home field but not sure it’s ever happened
nah the champions league final or other cups in football are hosted at a neutral event too
The sports that aren’t held at a neutral site are played in a series of games. They trade off having home field/court advantage.
When Tom Brady won a super bowl with the bucs it was played at home in Tampa
@@0xmoo It's rare but it has happened in the past. For example Bayern Munich vs Chelsea UEFA Champions League Final 2012 was held in Bayern Munich stadium - The Allianz Arena. Bayern lost although they had a home advantage.
Bucs won in Tampa in 2021 and Rams won in LA in 2022

Have people not been watching competitive cod over the years? Optic always has the most fans. They're always loud at every event. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. They're always the home team. I agree Champs shouldn't be hosted by anyone, but the fact is it was.
All weekend everyone talked about how the event was the best in CDL era. That would not have been possible without Optic hosting it and funneling money into it. No one seems to be mentioning that.

Unfair advantage? No they have the advantage of putting in 3x the work to build the fan base. If faze fans would have shown up in force and made themselves louder than the Optic fans then they’d have had the “advantage”

@@Xzertion champs should be an independent event. I know who the fans are and the fanbase I been watching for 10 years. If optic hosts champs it gives competitive adv for the biggest tournament. Happy optic won and really don’t care, but admittedly this shouldn’t be done again.
