I am an advisor to the Haus Der Kunst in Munich and a Trustee of English Heritage, The Audience Agencyand The Collections Trust. I am an Industry Champion for the NESTA Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre. I teach on the Digital Media programme at UCL's Knowledge Lab.
I was Director of Digital, Communications and Technology at the National Gallery 2017-22, a Sr Visiting Research Fellow at King's College London, a Creative Industries Fellow at the AHRC/UKRI and Bloomberg Technology Fellow. I sit on the Steering Committee of the AHRC's Towards a National Collection programme. I was named one of the top 10 Museum Influencers in 2022 and an Ericsson 5G Trailblazer.
I have a PHD from the University of Bristol and a MPA in Innovation from UCL.
