The best thing na nangyari sakin when I came to Canada is my spiritual deliverance. One talaga is gossip..the only thing we can treat other people right is from God's perspective.
That's why me and my wife chose to live on our own. We prefer to start even if it's hard. At the end of the day we don't have regrets and we enjoy the process knowing that we can stand on our own even in a little way. As always beautiful content and eye opener and lesson to learn for everyone. Thanks kuys Kiks and Joy!
Good pointers in life. I have been here in Canada for 27 years, we live in Vancouver BC. I heard about what you all said from other Filipinos here, but I feel fortunate to have a solid kind hearted Filipino and Canadian support system. I also have most of my family here already when I migrated.
Silent viewer dati but now decided to subscribe😊am a senior watching you from Calgary AB, tama yan topic nyo kaya siguro mind your own na lng muna lalo sa kapwa pinoy, pero hindi ko linalahat kasi meron din nagdadamayan tulad ng mga kapwa pinoy namin dito sa lugar namin 😊

My Filipina wife consciously chooses to limit her associations with kababayan, guiding her away from the potential challenges of close friendships. Her Filipina spirit embodies a natural ease in connecting with others, grounded in the value of reciprocity.
My dad is the first generation to migrate in the USA… 1950’s. Crab mentality was already prevalent in those times… among pinoys. We learned to draw the line, growing up. We mind our own business. 🇺🇸
Giving unsolicited advice is what most Filipinos love doing. That's one reason why some Pinoys distant themselves from fellow Filipinos and when they did, they were branded by toxic Pinoys as "Mayabang". Lol. "Ingeterong Pinoys" are very common. They are maybe your friends, but they want you to fail because they are not happy for you on your achievements. They maybe around when you party for an accomplishment, but remember, they are not celebrating with you. When you "ingit" and you use it to inspire yourself is totally different thing. These kind of people feel happy for others' successes, and they are rare. Toxicity is easily visible; let's deal with toxic people smartly.
Galing niyo talaga guys!
Pag inalok k ng kung ano ano business man yn or insurance explained mo lng ung situation mo.
I agree, parang me seniority. Even your newcomer ka and just landed a good job. people will induce you to buy property as if the price of property in Canada the same yesterday before pandemic. Parang sinusukat ka. No problem if you come to Canada with 200k to 500k when your in Toronto or nearby area. Not everyone have the savings for downpayment for home and owning a home is not for everybody. There is a bigger responsibility.
Kaya ako i dont say too much kasi ma misinterpret ka .
There is no such thing as a positive "inggit" (envy). In fact if you're a christian you know that envy is one of the seven deadly sins. It's like saying that there is something good in murder or lust. When you see someone achieve their goal, you either get inspired which is positive or be envious which is negative. When I see someone get rich, I congratulate them, get inspired and follow their example as long as it's legit or legal.

The word “INGGIT” is very negative. I would rather use the noun MOTIVATION, as inspiration to achieve other people’s success. My two cents. 🇺🇸
