A decade ago, under the moniker Final Fantasy, internationally acclaimed musician and composer Owen Pallett was the recipient of the first ever Polaris Music Prize. Here, in a show that celebrated ten years of Polaris, Owen Pallett makes his solo Massey Hall debut and highlights his incredible musical catalogue.

Also this is such an incredible performance, and great video editing and mixing! I wish he'd make a full live record once, there's too few good recordings online. I love the studio versions, but there's something so organic about being able to hear the songs being progressively “built” with the looping station.
So true! I always make sure to see him when he’s in town! I have a video of him from when I first started filming bands live💜
The first song is a masterpiece, in my opinion, much more than the studio version.

Owen Pallet is the violinist!! His art is more than tones and brilliant timing of rhytm, there is something more, but I dont know what exactly .... but it is magical! :)

Just Spectacular
I saw Owen open for The Arcade Fire back in 2015 or 2016 in Santa Barbara. It was fascinating to see his process of looping his music pieces , building layer upon layer. So impressive in a live setting and then the band joined him for a few numbers and that was tight as well. I remember saying to those around me that he was doing a "Frippertronics" and someone said, " Whats that?" But it was like Robert Fripp performing a soundscape. Great live performance!!
really cool to hear that's when the audience died at a higher tempo, it's definitely faster here than the original album track
I remember finding "Has a Good Home" in Music World back in 2005 when I was a teenager. Some crazy homeless dude was talking to me about how Rush played at my high school back in 1975 and tried to convenience me to get 2112 lol. I left without either, wish I had supported Owen back then.

Holy shit I heard the first notes of the many lives version of CN tower... And then it cut off. This sense of loss.
I was at this show, and the performance of CN tower was honestly one of the most gorgeous performances of an individual song I've ever heard - so disappointed they cut it out of this video!
