What a wonderfully inspiring video. I wish we in Vienna could take the kinds of bold actions NYC has taken in the last few years - it would help our economy and livabilty.
I like how the NYC video begins with happy music, and images of blue skies and happy people enjoying happy urban spaces, compared with the LA video, which features somber music and images of chocked auto traffic underneath gray, hazy skies.
Toronto city council needs to watch this video. We are actually moving backwards with these issues. Reducing bike lanes and sidewalks for more car space.
It's easier when you don't have any hills though! Here in Sydney, we need to contend with Geography in the form of hills and multiple bits of harbour too...
@colacheeks @colacheeks It's on The High Line park overlooking 10th Ave at 17th Street. Looks interesting in the video, however it's quite boring in real life since 10th Ave is low traffic street and I don't really get the point of it all; but you should check it out for yourself of course. The park is "designed by landscape architects James Corner Field Operations, with architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro."
