- Michael Jordan spent the entire off-season resting his injured foot. Michael, of course, wanted to compete, the entire time, so now that he had the full green light to compete again, Michael Jordan was about to be unleashed on the New York Knicks! The Knicks put up a great fight in this battle of the 2 legendary cities, with Rory Sparrow's jumper setting the pace for the offense. However, Michael Jordan refused to lose, and he was determined to take over yet another game as he attempted to put the Chicago Bulls on his back, once again, in the 4th quarter.

Blitz Sports Network PSA: Always remember, the individuals who say "Michael Jordan didn't face great competition in his era" are trying to tell you something IMPORTANT. They are trying to tell you that they didn't watch the Michael Jordan era, and there are much better things you could be doing with your time rather than listening to their takes on an era they didn't even watch. Would you go to someone for an opinion on Shakespeare if they had never seen the plays Macbeth, Hamlet, or Othello? Of course you wouldn't. Consider the source. Nobody who watched that era would trash the talent all around the league. Michael Jordan played in a great era with a great blend of fierce competitors, awe inspiring athletes, lock down defenders, knock down shooters, and ultra skilled ballers. - Спорт
MJ did it all this game and still got 50 points his defense was awesome and clutch play....People that's why MJ is called the Goat of Basketball...Nobody today's game is doing wt he did on both ends of the court and still get over 40 points
Spot on.
I hope those who never saw Jordan play, watches these. How can anyone not see this and not realize he was and still is, the best there ever was. He’s all over the place. His scoring is so fluid and effortless, his defense is swarming, both ends he’s relentless. His FT’s are automatic. He’s thrown darts. I watch the NBA regularly. And he’s still making me say, God Damn!! No one does what he does.
100% right!
Well said!👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You are not in the minority. Fan polls show him at over 3/4 of votes as GOAT, 25 years after his heyday
Exactly, however, its the 90s kids and millenial babies who dont research and think they know everything and will say that either Lebron or Kobe is the GOAT because theyre too hard headed to watch the videos
The real goat MJ nobody

MJ 50 points on Opening Night in 1986 at MSG. 34 second half points. He told Doug Collins, he wasn't going to let him lose his first game as the Bulls head coach...he delivered on that promise.
I think young people see the highlights now and think he just did the spectacular in big games. But that's what made him special, he had big games and clutch moments all the time. Even in meaningless early regular season games.
Dude averaged 37.1 a game in this season, 37 games of 40 or more points and had eight 50-point games.
I love how Mike just straight up lied and said he didn’t play on that foot 😂😂😂. Man was playing all summer in Chapel Hill full court 😆
Watching how hard he had to work you really wonder if someone like Jason Williams has really watched these games??
Some players arrogance doesnt allow them to be impressed.
Don't think so. Even former players can be idiots.
Jason Williams is a jealous lout.
You see "Mr Excitement" he brings it Evey game don't turn your head or you might miss something spectacular.
A quiet 50 at that...listen, Michael Jordan is all over the place...Steals, Blocks, Rebounds when he has to...not to mention the assist at perfect times of the game...that is by far the greatest defense I have ever seen...I watched all of his games when he was playing...as I come here to watch this game...OMG how great he was...he is so fast that it's crazy...Trent Tucker was playing great defense and it did not matter...it's amazing how MJ never gets tired...GOAT
I knew it was over when the Knicks fans was louder for Jordan than the entire Knicks team during the introductions🤭
Crazy
one thing.ive.noticed most., the commentators back.in day were.so respectable.. they just wear in tuxedo!
I can see him playing defense all day, he was such a menace , i dont know how many steals and blocks he had, but dammnnnn he was such a menace all over the place, i can see what kobe Bryant was looking for to emulate, everything, the walk, the shot , all. MJ the lifetime GOAT

You the real MVP!!
Thanks again. I enjoyed this
Damn Jordan had about 6 blocks and 5 steals! He was a menace on defense! That Bulls team was weak as hell. Brad Seller's and Corzine were trash.
NOBODY was the FORCE that MJ was on BOTH ends of the court.
Centers were terrorized by him. He blocked Ewing and Cartwright multiple times.
Won the NBA offensive and defensive player of the year…
the same year
My comment just got tucked in between two 2-week old comments
Great job with these videos dude, keep'em coming.
That was incredible. Thanks for posting!
It’s amazing how MJ’s athleticism makes these other NBA players look clumsy in comparison!
The cocaine circus years also when the opposing team was cheered too. George Jefferson wore 31 for the Bulls. The good ole days. 😂😂😂😂
That throwback music 🎶
Jordan a BeastDogg
MJ brought young and old to the game with his unbelievable talent that was second to none*
@18.40 what a smooth play
EVERY game young Michael elicited MULTIPLE superlatives from the mouths of announcers.
forgot timestamp @3:39 MJ gets cheered so much you almost forget this is at New York
Bruce, I’m still trying to find that 88-89 @ Denver game where MJ scores 30 in the 4th quarter. Even though they lose I still would like to see how he did it. Do you have that game?
30 points in the 4th quarter? Woow i like to see that game
@@panchito1384 I know somebody has to have it. It’s the only 50 pt game not in circulation or on RUclips.
16:00. “Michael Jordan is as active without the basketball as he is with it”
This is why we love MJ and despise LeFraud
The greatest that ever runs the Basket ball floor the man call Michael jordon air ness
13:10 A player 'who shall not be named' makes these kind of passes when his teammates are wide open and gets praised for their passing ability... MJ is out here making these same passes through a needle when there are 4 defenders within 6 feet of the recipient and still gets labeled a ballhog. It's not his fault he played with guys who weren't the best scorers unlike the unnamed player above. He looks willing to make the correct basketball play to me, His career was during the slowest scoring era in NBA history and he still put up the elite all around numbers he did. By today's standards he would have averaged more.
5:50 you can clearly see 3 people focus on MJ
Haters: 'MJ only faced man to man defense in his era'
RIP Granville Waiters, you were the GOAT
18:43 - ridiculous 😩
GOAT
Basketbawl love it
No comparing at all,, MJ on his Rockie season he always domination,, he always unstopble and scoring any kind of position
This video was 1986. Can't believe Charles Oakley was with the Bulls!?. I knew he played in New York I didn't realize he played with the Bulls! He missed out on the opportunity too win 💍 rings Wow! Had Oakley had known, he would have told his agent too work a lifetime deal in Chicago. Especially having Michael Jordan on his team but he didn't know what Jordan would turn out to be. Jordan was only 2 years into the NBA when Oakley was on the same team!
3 points in the first quarter ... and still got 50 for the game.
How can you loose 6 out 10 tries for a Championship and be called by some the G.O.A.T.......huh
"That little guy in Atlanta...."19:00m is Spud Webb
Just another game for MJ. . .
LoL.... And Just Think, Scottie Said Jordan Was A Horrible Player In The Beginning....
LoL....🤣😂🤣😂....
Super young Greg Gumbel
At 30:27, Michael Jordan scored his 46th point with 46 seconds left on the clock!
Jordan was famous even without pipen in 1986 and pipen name never mentioned 😂😂😂😂
The lack of talent Jordan had in his team was amazing
I kinda hate watching basketball now because I'm always comparing the players to MJ and always underwhelmed.
15:36 How did MJ do that?
26:37 draws the defense in and dishes it out with flair to a wide open teammate for what should have been an easy look... But being that MJ surrounded by scrubs, he was ultimately robbed of valuable statistics that would later be determined to be the deciding factor of how good a player was in their time. If only he played with some of the best offensive players the game has ever seen like certain other players have, his assist numbers would be much better 😂😂
At 32:49 did he say Jordan will dribble the fuck out? 😂
Clock. Will dribble the clock out.
Can we highlight the lack of whining on every call in this era?? Also only 2 refs and much more physical play. I like LBJ however LBJ fanboys he would either have to man up or he would get destroyed in this era.
Geez, how old was Waiter he look 50 years old. lol
DOUG COLLINS??? 4TIME ALLSTAR??? IN DA NBA??? NOW DATS BOOOSH-HIT!!!!
Until the 1 eyed LJ fans get their 👀 checked, they will refuse to see the obvious!!!
Sellers was trash
Jesus Christ is coming back soon. Jesus is the true God who came in the flesh to die for our sins to be washed away so we could have a chance to make it to Heaven. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and the only way to Heaven. Turn from your sins, get baptized in the name of Jesus, get a real relationship with Jesus, follow Jesus daily, Love everyone, forgive others, and do the will of God which is to lead others to Jesus. That is your true purpose in life. The word of God says we are saved by our faith but it also says that our faith is dead without works. Jesus said if U Love me then keep my commandments. So we show Jesus we Love him with our actions. This life I jus temporary but Heaven and Hell is forever. You will stand in front of Jesus on judgement day and you will be judged on how you lived yiur life on Earth. The only thing that truly matters in your life is your walk with Jesus, yiur relationship with Jesus, and what you do for Jesus.
