Terry Lin treated Dimash as a fatherly friend, he even visited him in Beijing on Christmas 2018 and brought him a cake for his two-year anniversary, as it was two years since he had arrived in China for the Singer competition. And they met again later, performing at each other's concerts. And the others also sent him a video message for the anniversary. They loved Dimash, they were not jealous or envious. Maybe just the one who always backed off so spectacularly.

Dimash tells that before going on stage he could barely talk, on stage he fell an awful throat pain and after singing his voice disappeared again. I guess his face of pain was quite real here.

Never thinking that he had what it takes to be a singer, he went tot he Ukraine to become a dentist. While there, he was convinced that he did have a great singing ability, thus transferred his major to music. Thank goodness he did. As an introduction into Zhou "Charlie" Shen, begin with his premiere performance on the Voice of China singing HuanYan. After this first video, move on to his versions of "Memory", and/or "Time to Say Goodbye". To see his versatility to genres, have fun watching him in "Ring the Doorbell", and the ever so much fun song, "Da La Beng Ba" where he sings in five voices, and the haunting song "Ring the Doorbell". Yes, I remember reading his throat was on fire but he still killed it. The version from Bastau will blow your mind. He is very healthy in the Bastau performance and he just slays it.
I read that one of his Chinese competitors (he was 8.16) bought him a medicine for his throat - the so-called "liquid gold" - a very expensive medicine, used in very emergencies. Maybe the doctor gave him just this, I don't know, but Dimash said in an interview that he sang with great pain, and immediately lost his voice after the performance again. You're absolutely right, it wasn't his full voice - if you want to see this song sung in a really full, healthy voice - you have to see Daybreak version from Dimash's solo concert Bastau.
