FALL 2022 AUDITIONS | ASSORTED ACES

Join Assorted Aces, a beginner-friendly open-style dance team aimed at teaching complete beginners how to dance, and giving more experienced dancers a team to grow their skills and leadership potential. We accept dancers of all skill levels, as long as you have a passion for dance and a desire to work on a team towards performing and learning together.
How to join:
Assorted Aces has two subteams: Baby Team, aimed at new dancers, and Toddlers, for those with more dance experience. There are two ways to join Aces!
1. To join Baby Team, fill out our application by September 18 at 2 pm to tell us a little about yourself (link: forms.gle/rq5S...! To join Babies, an audition is not strictly required but we still highly encourage you to come to our learning days, open practices, and auditions to meet the team and get a feel for what practices are like. *We strongly prioritize applicants who attend auditions & at least one of our open practice days* Auditions & the open practices are a fun way to learn some new choreography and try out the team, so we hope to see you there!
2. To join Toddlers, you will need to fill out our application by September 16 at 8 PM as well as come to auditions! Auditions will take place on Sunday, September 18. Fill out your application here (link: forms.gle/rq5S...!
AUDITION INFO:
Come learn the audition piece in a workshop setting on either September 15 from 6-8pm or September 16 from 8-10PM in PSB Atrium. This is where you’ll get the chance to ask questions and see what an Aces practice is like.
Note: we will be teaching the same thing on both learnings days so you only have to go to one of them!
After coming to the Learning Days, we will review the audition choreo together and then audition in small groups on Sunday September 18 from 12-2pm in PSB Atrium. Don’t worry- auditions are a lot of fun, and a way to meet current and new members!
Can’t make either the Learning Day or audition day? No worries! Contact us at [e-mail] or message us. We will be posting a video of the audition piece for you to learn on your own, and you can send us a video of yourself dancing the audition piece to [e-mail]. Please keep in mind that the deadline for video submissions is September 18 at 2 pm, the same as in-person auditions, so don’t wait to reach out!
