I’m sorry but I have to say that I love your enthusiasm and I love what you have done with your (winter grown citrus) but you literally just planted those peaches 3-5 years ago and never ever ever pruned them!! Those trees should look like a wine glass and have very strong lateral branches and your trunk should be twice the size! I know you are just doing everything all the time and your brain is a magical place but you have to stop and think and learn.. I’m learning that myself and you will not get what you could if you do not stop and focus! Love your videos!
We actually get really nice and large peaches from these trees. Some of them are 14 years old. I just have to use ladders. The soil is so good here that the trunks on many of the trees are huge and one of the trees has produced 11 half bushels of peaches. I am not all bought into the pruning and tactics farmers of old have used. If these trees where all pruned as many do I would not have a crop this year as most of the bottom blossoms froze. We also have never sprayed these trees. I may spray this year. On. Good note after James came in and taught me a lot I went in and pruned these trees quite intensively. As good as I could stand 😀 Your probably right and will see how my crops this year turn out. Thanks for the nice comment and enjoying our videos. Cheers. 🥂
@@heatherperry2176 I think you’re right in your comment and will heed it. Probably better prioritization of what things need the most attention. Peach tree management needs to be at the top your correct. Thanks for the good call to repentance.
@@chadsproduce I appreciate that! Just so you know I am actually going to try my hand at what you are doing with your citrus!! I am so intrigued by your tactics and how they are working. I’m in zone 6b CT and have been overwintering my citrus trees in doors and they just never will do what yours are doing in ground! So I have decided I’m going to basically copy your technique of greenhouse/hay/ compost! I will continue to follow you and let you know how it works for me! I hope that you continue to push limits and known boundaries in order to excite others to do the same and have the kind of abundance you clearly have proven!
