The shaft that the drive belt pully attaches to, snaped in half on my craftsman lt1000. I just got the parts delivered. I will be repairing it soon.

thank you sir. I would like to know how the differential can allow the wheels to spin freely when in neutral? I am currently having an issue where they will always spin opposite no matter the gear shifted in.
