Yep, Oasis were the absolute next level, and the Gallaghers have got personality and a funny sense of humour and down to Earth as well. Not many musicians of the modern age could follow that example. Liams voice with Noels lyrics and guitar playing set new standards.
My late dad loved the Beatles I was brought up on a musical diet of the Beatles the who the kinks etc thanks to my dad I had an early appreciation of quality music, when Oasis popped up in the 90’s he did say he wasn’t a fan but he did appreciate the lineage of where they came from, Northern England working class roots, I played him a few tracks from the first two Oasis albums and he did admit to liking the songs Noel sang he said he liked his melancholy tones, a good ear for quality music spans all generations

I'm 56, and in 1978 I discovered the Beatles via cassette tape, and it was my first "growing into myself" musical experience, being 10 years old. As I grew up I got into all kinds of other genres. But when Oasis popped up in the 90s, out nowhere, with rock music being in a somewhat shaky state (I liked grunge but everybody sounded very depressed) , I immediately knew what I was listening to. This was the real thing. So, to me Oasis were always top of the line, when it came to this. On a side note, I'm really a hip hop and house music head who was brought up on soul and jazz as a kid.
