Hey Kristina... all good people are born in May! 😉 Cathy... I just turned 58 myself. Good number.😁 I love that we can find a "vintage group" of people here in the card making community. Aaron, I love wood block stamps! I collect them and have found quite a few Hero Art wood block stamps while out thrifting to add to my collection. And Jennifer... You have simply made the world a prettier place to live in. Thank you all for keeping the creativity and kindness alive! ❤❤❤❤
You're all such amazing teachers, it was lovely to hear your stories and see you encouraging each other. I have giggled and giggled through this session! You're all so inspiring and I'm so enjoying this series xoxo
Love all these ladies. Have made cards on You tube with them. I took Kristina's class online and it was great! Started out with Queen Jennifer.....and Kathy I just love the love you put in your cards.......so funny, but all of you do have a great sense of humor. I also forgot Gina. You guys are the main crafting queens in my life! I Thank all of you!!!💕💕❤❤
I've been stamping for almost 25 years. I love the Hanging with Hero and learning so much about history. This community is the very best and continues to amaze me. Thank you for all you do💜
Just trying to imagine how it must have felt for Simon Hurley hearing from an industry icon like Aron that „everything he does makes the industry better“… Must be WONDERFUL - ai mean, I can‘t stop smiling 🤩
So fun listening to you! I still watch Kristina from many years ago with Make a Card Monday, Finally Friday, and the Two Peas videos. I still Love them and still get inspired. Cathy, you make my smile. We are basically the same age so I can relate. Of course, I have many classic Hero Arts sets and they still see ink at times. I look forward to stamping and creating for many years to come.
What WONDERFUL hero’s!! The genuine love that these people have for each other. It’s such a blessing to see and watch and I truly hope this becomes the model for the new America…… collaboration, sharing, kindness, rising ties lift all ships. The BEST!!
Im part of a scrapbooking club using CTMH...sadly they are closing but I do love making cards & doing mixed media all due to watching a lot of these talented people on RUclips...❤❤
🥔 I LOVE Cathy, and all of these folks. I’ve been stamping for 30 years and Jennifer, Gina K, and Kristina were my first “heroes” in stamping. I made one scrapbook when my granddaughter was in the hospital, and it came out very nice, but I really didn’t enjoy making it like I LOVE making cards! Card making is sooooo satisfying and the ideas are literally endless!!! 💕🌸💕
What a great video and always love to find out about who I watch on RUclips. This was a wonderful time together and most of the thoughts put out are what I feel. I had to stop doing many crafts because of RA and started card making 8 years ago and love it and the community. Happy Birthday, Simon.
Hi, I'm from the center of France . I started card making like 5 years ago. Before, I just added some embellishments on everyday xmas cards. I started watching Kristina Werner, then adding Jennifer, Gina K's, Tim Holtz, Hero Arts, and Cathy to my favorite videos. You all inspire me . Thank you for sharing your ideas and videos ❤❤🎉🎉🎉
19 years ago during chemo therapy my hands had decreased feeling and my local stamp store owner helped me with using zolid Heri Arts stamps with waterbased markers so I could still create. I will always remember her helping me be able to fo something I love, card making, during this difficult time. Local stores are an amazing resource, I hope the two here in the Dayton Ohio area stay open forever.
Really enjoyed this hero art series. I watched Cathy z today and love her excitement when she starts making a card. Thanks for doing this for us crafters.
Thank U all for these HANGING WITH HERO LIVES!!!! I'm not even a "card maker"yet, but I feel like y're my tribe, my family, my friends. As a foreigner I'm enjoying to learn about the history behind the scenes, the struggles, the wins.... it's so human and it sure shows how this community had grown so incrediblely . I"m still dreaming with my m.i.s.t.y though..... a game changing to start it right ( not affortable yet). PLS +++++ LONG form Content!!!!! LOVE TO ALL OF YOU!!!! KEEP ON GOING with these HANGING WITH!# from your Brazilian Friend, 🐝
I have been listening to all these Hanging with Hero youtubes and will continue to. The discussions have been great to hear. I am a 71 year old maker and have come the full circle with the paper industry once finding it in 2002. I had a very full creative life well before that as an art quilter and fabric dyer, but 2002 made a U turn in my life. I got cancer and the treatment for that cancer caused physical disabilities to start to show up within four months. Now I am home bound and lots of limitations. but it doesn't stop me. I still make cards and mail them out to friends every month. Not as many as before, but there is still a core group that will never go away. One suggestion I would have for sharing: check resources at your local library. I just donated stamp, dies and paper to the library here. They have die cut machines available for public use. Some of my favorite My Monthly Hero kits from the beginning are now available to another generation of makers by doing this. My friends daughter runs the childrens programs at the library and the things I donated will be part of that. Just a thought for those just starting out or with limited budgets. I also donate to our local nursing home. Finished cards and images I have already stamped so they can color them. Trying to make the best possible use of the resources I have. thanks as always for sharing and all the inspiration.
OMG...what a fantastic show. I hate that I missed the live but I did catch the replay. I loved your group so much. Cathy is always so happy and funny as usual! Love it! Jennifer, please definitely keep these lives coming. It's so nice to see how so many people were inspired to do this type of crafting. And I will agree with Kristina...it's like getting excited to bring someone new into the family so they can enjoy your excitement. It's quite contagious! 😁 I love all the content you put out there for us, for free I might add, and thank you with all my heart for all of your hard work! Thank you Aaron, Kristina and Cathy for all you do for us as well. You all are so amazing and inspiring. I'm looking forward to the next video and also when we get to find out about Aaron's dislike of potatoes...as if that would EVER be a thing!! 🙃🙃 Enjoy your vacation in Alaska Jennifer and Kristina. I hear it's beautiful there. Stay safe and have lots of fun!
I got started stamping and making cards with Stampin Up as well…….. When I got really sick as a teenager, two amazing ladies from my church named Leigh and Margaret used to come to my home and teach me how to make cards…… It felt life changing! When we moved two states away, I stopped because I had no one to share it with unfortunately…. I started up again about 4 years ago! It’s been a joy! Thank you, all, for the free instruction and inspiration and support! It means so much to me! I’m a happier person because of your kindness and your videos!🤗🫶🏻
Another one from me: I am just waiting to see which one of you is gonna cry first… With all the (absolutely correct, justified and, indeed, necessary!) nice things you say about each other!
Aaron, I have to thank you for this interesting exposure of friends and talent. After years of traveling to take classes in my other hobbies, it’s refreshing to have all this free talent to tap into. Unbelievable, that artists give so much of themselves, all available from your own home for free. And ,yes, I’ve gone down the rabbit hole in card making. Like Kathy said, it’s very freeing, you find your own style and continuing learning and exposing yourself to new adventures. It makes me happy and stress free, and you’re all available 24 hours a day. Thank you, thank you. And of course, shopping to your sites anytime of the day and night.
Love watching the four of you discuss your introductions to the creative world of scrapbooking and card making! The first card I made was for my parents anniversary. It was hand drawn, made on typing paper and illustrated with colored pencils. I can still see it in my mind.
I also got started with scrapbooking with a neighbor’s Creative Memory party for years. Then went to a friend’s Stampin Up party and switched to cards! So neat to see others who started the same way!
Wow! I love the video with the celebrities I admire.❤❤ I have been a crafter for a long time without knowing what craft was. Now, I have made cards for family and friends. I can't say I save money when I make cards or decorations for family events, but I love it. It makes me happy to see them, so please, with my makes for them. Thank you all for your creativity and inspiration.😊
And you all have different styles in your cardmaking. Whether it's combining product from different companies, watercolor, clean and simple, floral, a touch of black. Signature styles with variables. Love it all.
1:32:55 - the looks of realization on Jennifer and Cathy’s faces made me laugh so hard! 😂😂😂 Absolutely gutted that I didn’t get off work in time to watch this live, but always happy that replays exist.
Guess I’m first watching the re-play. Been working OT before a deadline. Love this podcast! Kristina turned me on the worders of watercolors with stamps, along with SU, and CZ helped me to do really awesome clean cards. And I LOVE big stamps and dies; they go on my scrapbook pages and on cards! I won’t buy tiny little stamps designs anymore. 🥔 for Cathy! Poor Aaron is missing Latkes. ❤2U
i love the message that you've all spoken of which is the sharing within this community, competitors bring inspiration and new things to the craft, and industry keeping it all alive. Whatever brand a crafter wants to use, it's all towards the wonderful craft we share in. It is rare this sharing and cross pollination, & also cost can be a big thing so crafters being able to use the products they have or can afford is soooo important. I was turned off attending scrapbooking events because of demonstrators who were so dogmatic about "their" product with no consideration to people's financial situation, wishing to learn and grow etc. Well done to all of you for being such great people.
Love the memories of companies and products y’all brought up! Thanks for doing these videos. Took a way too long break from scrapbooking and am returning to my fave activity, all of your videos help so much!
Cathy Jennifer & Kristina need to do some “flashback” projects … i still have my first Hero Arts stamps from pre-2000 & yep i have that heart set too …
YES!!! MAKE THIS PERMANENT, pretty please (and maybe some more internationally compatible times, too?!). Thank you for doing these, they are fantastic entertainment and education rolled into one. Kind regards from Germany (looking forward to the potato episode!!!😂), Nicola
Long videos for sure. I'm 75 and need that slower pace. 😘 I love that age is not a factor when creating for this community. I feel like I truly belong. Love all you RUclips creators. Keep the content coming. ❤️
This is SUCH a great format. I love watching. Sadly, I missed the live again (it is HARD getting up at 1 or 2 am - as I would have to, to catch you live, here in Germany) - but at least there is the replay! Kind regards, Nicola
When I moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming, there was a wonderful paper store that was open two days a week for four hours at a time, but then JoAnn’s got the store kicked out of the mall for being a competing craft store. They two stores carried absolutely nothing that was the same. 😢
Hi there ladies and guy.i,m from Christchurch New Zealand I started cardmaking but not that great. Great to listen to you all .I have 4 sons, not interested..in cards.nor. are my 7 grandsons ,but my only granddaughter, but has nothing to do it
I understand what you say about long videos however if you work long hours & like following multiple content creators not just a couple, long videos are not accessible to me. I appreciate you love it but the shorter ones I can actually fit in. Taken me a week to listen to this one & love your comraderie! ❤
Hey Kristina... all good people are born in May! 😉 Cathy... I just turned 58 myself. Good number.😁 I love that we can find a "vintage group" of people here in the card making community. I've been stamping for almost 25 years. I love the Hanging with Hero and learning so much about history. This community is the very best and continues to amaze me. Thank you for all you do💜

Just watched on replay...awesome guests that I've been following for years!!! Love Jennifer, Cathy and Kristina!
I loved the online classes with Kristina and Jennifer, I lived in a very remote area with no craft shops so I learnt so much from your classes.
I remember Stampa Barbara and Viva Las Vegas stamps. So many funky stamps.
This was awesome. You all have been my teachers and inspiration, going into 11 years now.
Im part of a scrapbooking club using CTMH...sadly they are closing but I do love making cards & doing mixed media all due to watching a lot of these talented people on RUclips...❤❤
Just bought Cathy‘s book (used) on German Amazon - can‘t wait to get my hands on this piece of crafty history !
🥔 I LOVE Cathy, and all of these folks. I’ve been stamping for 30 years and Jennifer, Gina K, and Kristina were my first “heroes” in stamping. The inventor of the Misti should be given a medal of stamping valor.
Love listening to all the history I am a mini album maker and am now making cards thanks to Jennifer and Gina k

This is SUCH a great format. I love watching. Sadly, I missed the live again (it is HARD getting up at 1 or 2 am - as I would have to, to catch you live, here in Germany) - but at least there is the replay! Kind regards, Nicola

I missed it live. I've been around since the dinosaurs and wooden stamps. So I know of which you speak. 😏
Jennifer inspires me!

We have lost soooo many Craft stores here in Australia during Covid..

Very enjoyable
Cathy I agree. I don’t like the “shorts” that some people put up.
🥔 😊
