- When Time Stood Still - Hesketh Bank & Tarleton.
© John & Iris Crane.
A film by John Crane who sadly passed away in 2012. The film has been passed to me by Iris Crane who wanted her husband's work to be remembered and not to fade away over time. So here it is for all to enjoy. John was always interested in local history wherever he lived and made several films over the years, it was simply his hobby.

Thank you John & Iris. John’s fantastic work lives on
Very very beautifully produced. Thankyou dear folkes of my home.
Well done. So much information captured here!
Brilliant, thank you
Oh my gosh. That family you couldn't recognize that is the Wareing family and that is the Ferry House right across from the old church.
Yep... Ken Wareing lives there these days..
I am interested in the Ferry House. My Great grandfather was called the Ferryman. Wareing was the family name. Do you have information?
His name is Stephen Wareing (1873-1943) with his wife Ellen Ascroft (1876-1919) with daughter Alice born in 1909
Good work but 14:05 is blackgate lane not gorse lane
