Hey, I don't even know how I found your channel but I'm glad! I appreciate your video style; filming in nature with GORGEOUS backgrounds! 😌👌🏽 I found this video useful as I had looked into hoops, having been interested in rhythm gymnastics and some of the apparatus. Hard for noobs though. I'm a bit tall so finding the right hoop at waist level would be tricky. Never knew some hoops collapse though! I'd definitely love to see a video on you creating your own hoop and also taping (though it sounds like you're not a fan of that so nevermind lol). 🌸
Hiii! Yayy look at the algorithm working for once! Happy to offer more advice on purchasing a hulahoop if you need it. Love that you are interested in rhythmic gymnastics! I will be branching out in 2024 and trying lyra hoop and silks, so like circusy flow art things. Sooo excited. You know, a few months ago I did make twin sectional hulahoops, I just haven’t edited yet and my craftsmanship did not serve me well (I already broke a couple pieces hahah). I will get around to editing that video and upload it to here. Thank you for such a kind comment 🤍
@@samara.monique That sounds SO awesome! I look forward to more of your content cuz it’s quality for sure! I do wonder where to get a hoop for taller ladies though? If you have any outlet recommendation or suggestions? And am not sure if you broke down the collapsibles in a video yet but that would be cool to see how that works.
Sorry for the delayed reply! I believe a lot of hoop smiths (hulahoop makers) get their material from Hoopologie. I usually search online for whichever company has the best deal at the time of purchasing. I just purchased 4 hulahoops from MissHoopsALot. My first two hulahoops are from DanceHoops, which I think could be a great option for your first hulahoop especially if you want the cute tapes! They have a website and an Etsy shop. I purchased the hulahoops from the Etsy shop. I just looked now and there are some taped hulahoops that go up to 44" outer diameter. Is there a certain size you are looking to purchase? I know DanceHoops offers hoops in a material I did not really comment on in the video, PE (polyethylene).
@samara.monique No. Worries! Please, it's awesome you taking the time to even respond! :) Honestly I'm so very new to this so I don't even know what I'm looking for. I'm tall, close to 5'10" so while I think I need a certain size I'm not entirely sure! I was just watching your Breaks video again and I'm just thinking jeez, could I even do that with a huge hoop? :/
