I stumbled upon this song by pure chance and it has just become one of my personal favorites. The growling in the first half being tempered by the female vocals in the latter half was, personally, a perfect touch.

Being an agnostic and a very irreligious person from India, I still enjoy this song a lot. I also, really do appreciate the sacrifices made by Crusaders to defend the freedom of Europe. However, It would have been really a mark of humanity if Europeans would have respected the freedom of countries like India. The cruelty to Indians by british was beyond horrible. We were peaceful people. We respected all religions.

@@TheFdsea Not really. They're suppose to invoke anger and rage, which is exactly what the set of lyrics they're for require. Georg's vocals are amazing, but they're too pleasant and sweet to be threatening, and Georg himself knows this, which is why he got someone else to do the uncleans.

Rome and Greece didn't have Christ for a long time and lived in grand stone cities and so on. The peoples North of them didn't really have that understanding of building like the Romans and Greeks did. Simple as.

This Album is a concept album about the life of Richard Lionheart (King Richard I.). Therefore the christian lyrics.
I haven't heard any interviews in which they have expressed any religious beliefs
It's about Richard Lionheart and his crusading campaign. Listen to the song Lionheart and you'll see and understand. This is actually the first album I like as a whole by Serenity. Really cool concept album.

This is album is good but I don't get why power metal bands need to add growls to any single just to increase its brutality and gain more fans. It's no needed all the time in my opinion. Anyway good song.
Honestly, I think the growls fit well in this piece. It's not every day you hear a Serenity song with growls. This is, what? Their second or third song where they've performed growls?

I honstly don't pretend to like Serenity beacuse i honstley like Serenity band and the music of course. I enjoy lisitng to there new album Lionheart about four months ago its pretty awesome sound.

Aidan Sumner I have listened to it more now. Also I have bought the CD I can't stop playing the album. The growls are good. Just took awhile for me to like them in this song. I do love death metal by the way. It was just a shock to hear growls in this song by serenity.
