Why do you not use bolts with shoulders in the frame of the truck? Using fully threaded fasteners with no shoulder on a vehicle that will be twisted and torqued on is just asking for future vibration and loose bolts issues.
they destroyed the embankment, dragging a car sideways is incredibly hard on the cars suspension and you put huge loads on the winches, if you used a boom truck the car would have rolled up the incline and onto the road with way less stress on car and equipment and you could have done the recovery from the emergency lane without closing a lane. i've done hundreds if not thousands of recoveries over a 20 year career. its a cute toy but 23 grand for some thing you might use a few times a year seems a waste
23 grand? Maybe for the 20k unit. We use them exclusively for recovery on our flatbed and have not turned down one recovery yet, which includes steep bank recovery and even some trucks larger than our own. We had the first generation they made and they've made improvements that people have been finding in the field that needed to be done. With a little bit of common sense, a few snatch blocks you can pull off a lot of recoveries without the need of two trucks. Most people don't need a regular wrecker, in fact the local police don't call for traditional trucks anymore because the ones with the flatbeds and SP's can handle 99% of the work.
awesome piece of kit its a shame iam in the UK,but all the best with this wonderful engineered unit .
Compared to that made by others, this one is more well engineered and thought out and more versatile with THREE Capacities.
Increíble equipo. Saludos desde Costa Rica
