I love how most new players who no lifed their way into masters and sometimes 1800 mr thought Rashid and akuma were balanced when they got released. "Buttons too stubby" "Bad crouch mk" " Does not deal enough damage" "Good characters but not broken" Literally hive minded these statements for both characters and now we see how wrong they were. They're too blinded with the desire to be the first to find out or report shit. I remember when Akuma first came out people shit out useless combos and tech in guides and streamers chats. Fast forward today Akumas literally just convert into anything convenient and do the wall splat combo in the corner. Screw all that facy bs combos and tech, just play a solid neutral on that character and you're untouchable even after the nerfs. Mf plays so much like a zoner even daigo plays him.
I don’t remember any akuma downplay. The occasional “Ken is the better” take. But rashid, yeah people tried… from day 1 even after the level 2 bug was fixed I was like this character is going to dog walk people.

New rashid is cool and all but SF5 Rashid is better in every way especially his theme song.
