Performed the last gig of the mini tour for Mk.gee new album. After an otherworldly performance and amazing crowd reception, Mk.gee played with a huge smile that lapsed from ear to ear that rang through all ears in the venue and reprised his killer track “Are You Looking Up”

This is revivalism I can get behind. Bringing back some massive sounds with an obvious modern strokes. They also make extensive use of sophisticated equipment, which hasnt been in the mainstream for a while long
Whoever is standing next to the cameraman at the beginning has singlehandedly convinced me to never sing along at a concert ever again unless asked to by the artist
that guitarist so out of control... just feels like rain from heaven. this guy the atmospheres accompany so well. so supportive. i really like this team, you can feel an amazing love and camaraderie

That's the crazy part because I swear "cz" would be his crowd favorite/encore lineup and he hasn't been playing it on this tour for "two stars".
This is one of the only performances I could find and he still arranged it to match his current sound. I know it sounded heavenly live but part of me is sick that he may never perform the original beyond whatever secret covid pandemic shows he may have done

love that this video exists. a raw capturing of a pivotal time in this artists's life. So glad the fans are singing along and memorizing the lyrics. PSA to all concert goers to be careful not to let excitement and nerves turn into scream-singing at a quiet show. these fans have good voices, but they're just so stoked for mk.gee their vocal chords can't contain it. Keep singing y'all, don't let no one stop u.

Love his subtle use of auto tune, think it works really well for his show. Especially as he says he's not that great a singer, he can ween off of it if he chooses to. I think it sounds awesome though! Not on social media so missed the the announcement when they were in NY. Great set Mike, crushing it. Thanks for the upload, 'Go And Live'!
Agreed, it works great, especially with the sheen of the 80s influence. Having said that, he always talks about himself as 'not a singer', but I genuinely love his voice!

writing this down before i forget. at 10:31 you hear a misplaced drum without dijon hitting the pad. this is because it fell off the table and instead of picking it up he decided to just hit the metal underside of the pad which is why the sound of the drumstick is so much louder than the actual drum 🤓
