Patricia Smith is literally my favorite poet of all time. I would definitely recommend that any Button viewers GO SEEK OUT HER WORK. Her other videos online, and especially her books, are all unbelievably powerful.

I understand the audience had to cheer and applaud her performance, but I was expecting a wail, it is so moving and freezing that I might forget to raise my hand much less clap
