I had a 65 Corsa 4 Speed with dual exhaust with glass packs it sounded like a Harley loved the sound of it.

Great Corvair! I see they converted it to an internally regulated alternator. We did the same with our 64 Monza 900 convertible. Condolences for the loss of your friend.

Thank you, yes when he did the engine build he was rather fond of internal reg alternators.

I like how you put that calling them roadoilers. So true. But if you put new pushrod tube Orings in that solved the problem.

Speaking of your instrument cluster, I fixed all the gauges. The problem with the speedo was the thing that screws into the transmission. That part was bad. The cable was OK, but it was that part that the cable screws into the speedometer and odometer did not work.
