India have 22 official language however only 2 language that is English and Hindi are used for all official work in Central government. This awards are given to all the people of India who resides in any part of India irrespective of what language they speak what gender they are what caste religion they belong to. The unity which you are talking about lies here. Hindi was choosen because of its mass reach. A majority of population speaks Hindi. If the award which is for all the Indian would limit itself for a regional language then many people won't be able to understand. Further the award was presented in many regional Doordarshan channels for those who wanted to see in their own regional language. No one can convince you about unity integrity and equality if you yourself put regional interest superior to national interest.
