THESE 2 ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVS.
Give them a range frenzy like buff they get above 50% and a 'fast' shooting rate (which reflects them both shooting.) If they drop below 50% they loose the buffs and it sparks a timer on a passive ability. Once that charge timer hits 0, they get a 'consistent' heart of avelorn esque regen which will put them back up, but after a minute, or something. So they have to play the hardcore survival game, potentially removing them from the combat long enough to be super punishing. And give them a cool 'one dies' mini animation while that ability charges and a get back up animation for when it activates.
On top of that, their 2 special arrow types as bound spells is easy enough. low armour, probably dodge like witch elves so long as they're on their eagle, not the forest dragon. They're totally doable and would be AWESOME.
What I can see is something akin to Skarsnik and Gobbla. Because we can all admit having them run around separately would be fucking absurd. Though its kinda lame, really the only balanced way I can see them working is after you hack them down to half health they have a chance to healing surge. Basically they share a natrually regenerating health pool, then if one of the models in their "unit" dies, then the other either gets a stat boost or the other just jumps right back up on a healing surge. The only real balance I can see is the sisters should be absurdly squishy. Grimgor or Vlad should be able to fucking roll them if they get stuck in. They should be quick, deadly assassins and strikers. The duo can either rip apart shit on the charge or pelt from afar, but if they get bogged down or hard countered by badass brute lords their regen and healing surge become essential as opposed to an OP gimmick.
Really good video, although I'm probably biased since they've always been my favourite WElf special characters, and perhaps even my favourite Warhammer special characters overall. Honestly, despite her not being around for 8th edition though, I think Ariel would be a better choice for a LL for WElves, especially if they threw her in as a freebie to coincide with some sort of 'Queen and the Crone' DLC (Hellebrone/Allariel). That way, you can have Ariel playing out the whole corruption/rampage she went on and have her start away from athel loren while she's going around kicking in the DElves and HElves. Heck, if they wanted to, they could even have her trying to get in on the ritual as a result of her search for power during that time.
As for the Sisters of Twilight, if they did put them in Total War (which I'd really like), then I think the best way to to do it would be to combine the two into a single 'unit', sort of like what they did for Skarsnik and Gobbla, especially since they're ALWAYS together in the lore, rather than having them as separate units. That'd also go some way to making more sense, as they're technically a Hero choice in the TT, so they're not as strong/durable/etc. as Lord choices are, but if you combine the two of them into a single profile for Total War then it'd make them being more on par with other LLs make more sense.
It'd also make it pretty easy to represent their healing then, by just giving them something like the Hydra regeneration where they can gain chunks of hp, or even just bog standard regen, as you don't have to worry about tracking one dying affecting the other as you have to kill the 'unit' to kill them.
While it'd make sense for balance for them to start off unmounted I'd still like to see them eventually get their two 'legendary mount' choices though (since WElves don't have any mounted LLs, or even Mounted special characters otherwise IIRC).
As for their speical arrows I could also see them each having their own 'arrows of kurnous' type abilities to represent the arrow special rules they have in the TT (though only with one or maybe two uses for each one), while otherwise just making them really good ranged attackers (perhaps even AP range, which the Glady doesn't have IIRC, though I could be mistaken).
E.g. Talon of Dawn: Heavy AP, flaming damage, good against single entities, heals self proportional to damage (sort of like Soul Stealer, but single target).
Talon of Dusk: Good against single units/multiple entities, imparts poison, maybe some minor ap.
Otherwise, I quite like the toggle idea as they've shown that they can do it with the Elven bolt throwers, although I'm not entirely sure how they'd pull off the healing aspect there, or balance it for that matter, so making them abilities seems like the simpler solution.

i like your break down of Dawn/Dusk too hahah really nailed it.. i think that "multiple wounds" needs better representation in TW as it's so huge in TT.
Yeah, Araloth would be a very disappointing LL for WElves I think - sort of a poor man's Orion and comparable to Ghorst really. I'd much rather have the Sisters of Twilight, Ariel and/or Drycha, in that order of personal preference. The former in particular would be something really different, being a ranged focus LL (which we haven't had yet), let alone the whole two characters in one deal and giving the WElves an LL that can ride a mount (and in particular, a dragon).
Ariel is (to risk an over-used word) really iconic to the WElves as a faction, would give them a dedicated caster LL (Durthu is more of a hybrid, and it seems that in MP people often take away all of his spells to save cost) and has a lot of story potential what with the aforementioned rampage she went on making it really easy to tie her into the vortex campaign/give her an excuse to be in the New World.
Of the three, I'm not quite so sure about Drycha, but mostly because I can't see how they'd make her campaign/faction balanced, since it'd presumably be forest spirits only or give her penalties for using Elven units. She's also a Hero choice and, unlike the Sisters, doesn't have anything to really justify a power spike like they do (being two characters in one/getting to ride a dragon). That said, Isabella was a Hero too and CA jumped her up to an LL, so I wouldn't rule her out, I'd just prefer the above two.
I'd also like to see WElves get access to High and Dark Magic at the very least, even though they should (like the HElves) also have access to the eight schools of battle magic, as it was one of the neat things about them being a sort of middle-ground between the HElves and DElves. IIRC they actually had access to the most schools of magic of any faction in 8th edition.
As for multiple wounds, it looks like they generally (but not always) = bonus vs large, which sort of makes sense (since a lot of large creatures have multiple wounds in the TT), although it's not perfect and, unlike Killing Blow, I don't think CA have been consistent with applying it, especially to artillery.
That's also why I suggested that Talon of Dawn be a single target DPS sort of ability, representing that it's good for taking out single entity (and probably large, if it'd be a multi-projectile, as they'd be easier to hit) targets, which kinda goes with the whole multiple wounds rule for TT.
I can see why multiple wounds has been harder to put into TW than, say, Killing Blow, though, since bonus vs large doesn't always work. Most cav (especially non-monstrous cav) in the TT only had a single wound, so making it bonus vs large doesn't quite translate. On the other hand, if you just make it anti-single entities then it won't work so well against Ogres (when they get added) and other multi-wound monstrous infantry/monstrous cav units.
Just using existing mechanics, I'd say bonus vs large is probably the easiest quick fix for it, CA just hasn't always applied it to units/weapons that had it in the TT, or really done anything to represent it consistently so far.
Ideas:
1. Could be a two-model unit, similar to Skarsnik and Gobla, but with separate hit points like a regular multi-model unit, with a special mechanic where if one of the models dies, you have to kill the other one within 30 seconds or a minute (to make it easier), or the dead one just comes back to live in a similar manner to invocation of Nehek or the Revivification. Make them a little squishy to keep this from being too OP (though it would still be very annoying if using one of their mounts... but then, that's the most fun thing about the Wood Elves, the ability to be annoying as hell).
2. Talon of Dawn ability - in addition to the abilities on Naestra's bow in table top, her abilities against dark forces could be tied to this, giving a temporary but significant bonus against any chaos, beastmen, dark elf, skaven, or vampire unit. Could have multiple chances to hit per shot.
3. Talon of Dusk ability - similar to above, but coupled with Arahan's bonuses against other wood elves, dwarves, high elves, empire, brettonia, and lizardmen.
4. Mounts - very high defense on the eagle, very high attack and charge bonus on the dragon.
To put them into Total War:
Make them a combined unit with 2 models. One unit card technically. If ones dies say around 30% ish, there is a timer for your enemy to kill the other one, if you don’t do heavy burst damage and kill them both within that time, they heal and respawn. I think thatd work

Man I would LOVE Naestra & Arahan as the legendary lord choice for the Wood Elves. They're honestly the only ones left that make sense. Araloth is an outright joke of a character and isn't anything more than a generic Glade Lord anyway. Likewise Drycha is just a Branchwraith.
Naestra & Arahan could be very unique in being two (weaker) Lord characters in one army or an interesting "single" unit that is modeled around two characters (maybe when she hits half health, one sister dies and after a set amount of time if the other sister isn't killed the character heals half their life and the second sister comes back). They would also be interesting as being a very high rate of fire lord choice on a winged mount (they should shoot like a Bolt Thrower, Arahan's bow should shoot a spray shot while Naestra's shoots a single high power shot).
Some have mentioned doing them like Vlad and Isabella but that really wouldn't work with their lore. Naestra & Arahan are *never* apart. They literally can't be without each other. While Vlad and Isabella love each other, they can be fielded separately (Vlad especially).

Not necessarily. They have already created a double entity LL, Skarsnik and Gobbla. The twins would have to shoot 1 arrow each, obviously, but that has also been done before with Deepwood Scouts.

I'd like this most as either a legendary lord with a hero, both of which are weak for a ll and strong for a hero. Another option would be two heroes. Only condition would be that they have to move together.
Maybe make them like Gotrek and Felix where one is a lord and the other a Hero.
Then they give regen to each other while together in a certain distance, and if one gets below 20% while the other is above 50%, the one below 20% gets MASSIVE regen, let’s say up to 60%. Both should have a pretty low ho pool as a consequence.
Naestra gets the Eagle as a Mount and Arahan the Dragon since they correspond best to their character.
One could also make them both heroes for one of the existing factions...
You could make it so that both are different lords. however, they could not be further apart than a turn. if in one battle one of them dies, and the other survives, she returns. one gets the kite as a mount and the other the eagle. just a thought.
I think that the Sisters of Twilight should be two separate characters, either lords or legendary heroes.
And if they're legendary lords, they could work in a similar way to Vlad and Isabella, but maybe in a expanded way, with maybe their "Foundation" skills focusing on them supporting each other.
But I also think that maybe instead of the dragon and great eagle just being mounts, that they could maybe be special units that only they can unlock to add a powerful unit to their armies.
But I really have to disagree with the idea of them being a two person unit, because unlike Skarsnik and Gobbla, they're both normal elf sized characters, and that could not only limit them in a lot of ways. So I think that that's a fair area in which they can bend the lore for the sake of the game.

I think your video is awesome and I like the Twilight Sisters think they have a interesting lore and mechanic be cool to see them but know how difficult it will be. Could you do a video of Naieth the Prophetess I am intrigued about her.

just didn't want to hahah.. we spend SO much time talking about Ariel for Wood Elves, I wanted to mix things up, and she's actually NOT an 8th edition special character. she hasn't been one since... oh my god.. 5th? 6th? editions
In the lore she does not take up such a militaristic role as say Orion, or Araloth, or the Twilight Sisters.
it's only recently in Age of Sigmar that she rides a beetle of doom
Ariel isn't really fit to be a legendary lord for the Wood Elves for the same reason "The Lady" isn't one for the Bretonnians. She isn't a character who takes to the Battlefield as much as she is effectively the Goddess of the Wood Elves. In fact, she is the Elven Goddess Isha (or what remains of her in the mortal world).
As for the recent Age of Sigmar character, that's not Ariel, that's Alarielle the Everqueen of the High Elves (after she became the embodiment of the magic of life). Alarielle does absorb what remains of Ariel (who was poisoned and near death) so in a round about way, yeah that kinda is Ariel... But not really.
Every Race in TWW and TWW 2 has at least 3 lords.All the elven factions have only 2.

As I've put your lore in the background I was pretty sure I had seen a mod for the Sisters of Twilight, just checked it turns out I was right. Haven't tested it myself so I can't say if it's accurate lorewise but just thought I'd let you know. I might test if/when I feel like it. Anyway, nice explanation, I don't know the lore that well and it's always nice to have more info about it.

As unlikely as they are to get added I can't say I am too bothered. I'm pretty confident sooner or later that most of the named characters will get added to this game through mods.

Ive had the two of them appear in one of my Fanfiction a while ago... i tried to make them sound as uncanny as i imagine them to be.
I ended up, having it sound like the two of them where really one person, and Arahan says anything that is like agressive or something like that, and Naestra says everything that should be calm and measured.
So basically of you speak to Naestra and make her Mad by... for example hitting on her, Arahan is going to tell you what they collectively think of that.
If brought to the game I would like to see Naestra be the "Lord" and Arahan be the "hero"

Not so sure about what, but in terms of timing IIRC they've said that the next DLC will hit at the same time as Norsca, so April/May. Given the FLC release schedule (Skaven first, which has already happened, followed by a Lizardman) I'd assume that they'll make it a HElf/DElf DLC, in which case more than one RUclipsr has bet on some sort of Queen and the Crone DLC with Hellebrone and Allariel, which'd mean that Sisters of Averlorn would be the most likely.
Of course, that's all just speculation on top of speculation.

You need to work on your presentation if you're going to read directly from the army books. Every time you've done it in this series you've stumbled all over the words. Either find a way to break it down so you can articulate it without fumbling or don't do it. Anyone can go onto the wiki or 1d4chan and get just as much information as you lay out in those segments in a much neater package.
