We lived on the Big Island. We visited Oahu when ever possible. My favorite plate lunch's garlic shrimp.
I agree, sometimes it’s hard to taste what sandwiches are all about because certain ingredients overpower one another. The food looks delicious as always guys 😍

Try Rays huli huli chicken in Haleiwa. By Malala market in the weekends. Get the sauce !! Get the slaw!! Get the whole chicken and some rice lol sooo good!!

Kahuku farms on the next north shore trip! Family owned, healthy fresh local food and so delicious! Fresh fruit smoothies! My favorite place in North Shore. A little something for the vegetarians out there 😊.

Love Ted's bakery pies but haven't tried Strawberry Guava Pie. Do they also sell that pie whole there? They used to sell the whole Pineapple Cheesecake at Foodland and Safeway but I haven't seen it in the stores for awhile just the pies. I certainly will try all your suggestions next time we plan to go on that side of the island. Thank you for sharing all the good grindz! Not sure about the pies.. we haven't been paying attention to them in stores for awhile now. Definitely worth trying the strawberry guava if that's your jam! 🤙

We ate at Ted’s bakery in July too. I love their garlic shrimp plate. We have to go back and try the sunset sandwich and Gauva strawberry pie next trip. Have you guys tried Ginza Bairin Tonkatsu loco moco? Would love to see your thoughts as that’s one of my favorite dish. You guys should really build the brand of “Foodie Ohana” with ratings, merch and even collaborations with different restaurants or brands. Love you guys and hope this channel will continue to grow.

I love shrimps, especially Garlic Shrimp. The old style with rice, I'm not a fan of Shrimp Scampi. I'll eat it but It's not my first choice. I will eat Butter Garlic Shrimp with rice any way. Shell on, off, vein out or in doesn't matter I'll eat them all. On Maui we have some great Shrimp places and Trucks.So my choice is the first place, I would have eaten the Short Ribs and Shrimp plates by myself. Love the Desserts. Mahalo and Aloha.

Shall I tell the secrets to tenderize meat?? Shhh. Wrap in papaya leaves. For hours at least. Overnight is recommended..I wrap my Indonesian sate ( satay) in rolled leaves overnight n can freeze as well. Happy eating!!: .

yea, mahimahi especially should be lightly breaded 12:40 in order to taste it. The other type white fish doesn't matter since they're not as tasty.
Amanda and Felix, you guys missed Ray's Kiawe chicken in Haleiwa. It's in the parking lot next to the supermarket. The best huli huli chicken in Hawaii. Ted's is da best after a surf. Ted's plate lunch and long nap.

Have you ever ate at Tim Ho Wans? They are supposed to be a really good place from Hong Kong. Apparently they are famous for their Pork Buns and for being the cheapest Michelin Star restaurant. It was on my short list but now I'm torn thanks to your recent Dim Sum video.
Also I would love to see you hit up Kalbi On Fire food truck in Kahuku. I don't know why but it looks amazing and I've only seen a few videos about it. I mean... It was good enough for Mark Weins!! bahaha

Ted’s Bakery is da best! Just a tiny bit of advice, while I love the enthusiasm that you put into video as you are tasting the food, is there a way to balance that with some table etiquette? I am not looking for immaculate table manners, those would be bit boring, but a balance would be nice, in one scene you had a mouthful of food and because there was a bit of sauce on your side of the lips, you were trying to get to that with mouth full of chewed food and also all over your tongue when you were reaching for that sauce, lol, I had to look away a bit. I am sure there were people that enjoyed that but I think a balance would be appreciated, thanks!
TIP: Don't Buy Sliced Pie from Times Supermarket or Foodland Supermarket, IDK if it's past the Sell Date, but crust always soggy/wet. Buy the whole pie or split it with someone special.

IMO...Ted's Pies are "Meh". If you want unforgettable, iconic signature pies, MUST stop by Tanya's Pies & Grill. Formerly known as Sunnyside restaurant, Tanya's opened up around mid/late 2019 or so. On average, 4-6 different varieties of pies are offered everyday & because they open 0500, everyday, they may run out of some choices. Myself, I try to stop by 1-2x/month or whenever have "disposable income" aka extra $$$$ to spend!-lol
