FOOD TRUCK TOUR [Waikele, Oahu, Hawaii] || Country Fried Steak, Teri Sticks, Pasteles
"We donʻt stop eating when weʻre full, we stop eating when weʻre tired." Yvonne knows whatʻs up.
EAT ‘TIL YOU SLEEP‼️😂
Hi Felix and Amanda I have to say could you please do some Saimin Episodes please with teriyaki sticks thank you
I like how Amanda’s voice goes up after every single sentence, and how while Felix is introducing the next dish Amanda is just eating it already. Haha. Following Happy Belly on Ig now. Thanks guys.
You got some good quotes:. "It got that good salt,...that good fat'",.."I better give Amanda the bigger piece before she slaps me!".
Best one yet... had me salivating over the food and laughing so hard over you guys whole segment here!! and of course your sidekick Yvonne off camera with her input on stuff is too funny. I love that you guys are just talking to us like we all just chillin and no fake attitude just for the camera. keeping it real always.
Thank you for the Aloha and support🤙🏼
Instead of T-shirt merch in the future, do a table cloth! Picnic cloth f you put logo on it don’t forget Yvonne name on the opposite side!
Good idea!😆
These videos r so great, the food looks amazing, but also u guys create such a positive vibe❤ I've struggled with eating disorders since I was in elementary school, and since highschool I've had a really bad fear of eating food by myself. And I'm a stay at home mom now, so sometimes I'll go all day without eating until dinner time because i hate eating by myself. These videos honestly just make me feel like I hav a safe place to eat and it helps me not think about it😅 so thank you so much, im going to oahu in May for my honeymoon and I'm so excited!
Mahalo Ohana! I'm not gonna lie when you guys drive to where your going with the time-lapse. Man I know where you are. You guys are killing me!!!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Nice!! Nothing like the skies in Hawaii🌺 Aloha🤙🏼
@@AmandaFelixEats its also nice to see Yvonne in a "Food Coma." You guys are doing a great job. Love the chemistry between you all. Keep them coming!!!!!
We’ve been coming to Hawaii since 1976 we’re looking forward to being there in August bringing my bother and his wife can’t wait to try the more local eateries you folks are so fun to watch ! Eileen and Elton Md. John
That's awesome! Thanks for supporting us and local businesses💞
it's Puerto Rican. and, I guess how you pronounce pasteles is how Hawaiians pronounce it, but that's far from how it's pronounced in Puerto Rican Spanish. Thanks for sharing.
Yup! People in Hawaii (Hawaiians = Native People of Hawaii, we are not Hawaiian🤙🏼) pronounce it differently😆
Empanadilla (pronounced empana-dee-ya) is a Puerto Rican empanada. Difference is in the dough, thinner and generally fried vs baked. The Filipino empanada gets its orange color from the juice of annatto seeds.
You sacrificed Minnie Mouse 😢 lol.
The gourmet camel apples looks so delicious and as you and Felix ate it or bit into it oh my god that looks so awesome my mouth was watering Yum thanks for sharing your video with us and thank you for taking along Yvonne we love her
Correction gosh $80 the Candy apples wow that is beautiful and thank you Yvonne for buying those so we can get to see what you guys have in Hawaii
You might need to check your LDL cholesterol levels after eating some of that food.🤪
I love you guys... My trip to Hawaii isn’t until August but you guys have me looking for jobs down there so I can have a reason to stay.
I'll be going in August as well lol. Been hooked on watching this channel. I'm actually from Oahu but its been soo long since I've been home.

Check out the Kaiser High school Farmer's market on Tuesday's !! I like to Thai for fishcakeusually get's delivered 5 :00p.m. ish , thai style luau, then I go to BOBA Bro's Boba to quell the spicyness. I hAD Rinka's tempura so ONO !!! I like the way it is more orderly due to the configuration of the parking lot. I found the Waikele's Friday chaotic. I'll try Waikele's 1st Friday again .
I hit up PB Sisters after watching this. And I gotta say.... It was DELICIOUS!!!! Most definitely a hidden gem!! 👌
You guys did it again to us! We went to the Waikele food trucks today. Our favorites were Happy Belly wit da chorizo gravy! Broke da mouth! Donnie’s BBQ wit da rib tips and collard greens is a must! Waialua BBQ was ok and expensive! My wife bought a bunch of crap, I mean stuff from Dipped by Dee. Mahalo for the suggies!

Those caramel apples looked so pretty and delicious, y'all just convinced me to go get those treats, mahalo for the video !!!
Dammmm guys another mouth watering satisfying video, best one yet👍🏽 keep on keeping on guys🤙🏽
Aww! Thank you for your kind words🥰
Yes the pasteles are Puerto Rican. Pasteles is plural, pastel is singular. They are made with green bananas, green plantains, taro and pumpkin seasoned with sofrito and filled with pork, garbanzos and olives. No other culture that I know of makes them. My mom makes it year around to sell here in Florida. Going to Oahu in June, 7th trip to Hawaii and I'm going to try those hawaiian pasteles. Thank you for the videos.
Hi guys...they call that PUTO...it can come in different color schemes but taste all the same..my favorite dessert too. Again I love the video's..
I had pasteles when I visited Oahu when I was 8. One of the only memories I have of the trip. They were amazing. And now I know ive been pronouncing it wrong lol
People in Hawaii actually pronounce it different than the Puerto Ricans, you might've been pronouncing it the Puerto Rican way!
Hi, I was just watching this again and Felix I’m thinking the red on the empanadas is ahiote seed. My husband is from Guam and that’s how they make theirs. Really enjoy watching you two.🥰
What's the difference between food trucks and lunch wagon? I always known lunch wagons!
Pro Tip: put some knives and forks in the glove box. Straws too... I enjoy your vids...
Oh my! I love this video! Can’t wait to try a food truck market! My bf and I are so lucky to move to this state! I hope we bump into you two there! And we’ll get dessert to celebrate 😂
Those Yellow cupcake things are called Putos. A very bad word in Spanish! LOL
I got confuse at the beginning of the video, some people walked backwards but it was just a rewind effect lol great video makes me hungry.
This video is all kine broke da mouth! Y'alll rocked it!
Mahalo Robert Leslie for the support🤙🏼
I hope go try this. I never know they had every 1st Friday or the month... Cops be there to go grind too!! Lol!!
Love you guys. 💘 keep it up. From the island of St. Lucia to you. Aloha.
Aloha! Mahalo for supporting us🤙🏼
I always opt for stuff I can’t be bothered to make at home ie BBQ meats, deep fried foods, pho. Not so much onigiri or plate food since i can make those.
Looks like EMpanadas and empanadillas are the same thing. Empanadas are called empanadillas in Puerto Rico.
What the truck guys!! 🤣😆🤙🏽
Making me hungry...shoots
Dicks Lechon is da bessest! How’s that lechon from PBs?
Divide and conquer. My motto for food trucks. We reunite once we order and text what we want to each other. It works
Yummy that really looks good I like to shop and I like to eat so that's going to be a good combination when I get over there
Guisantes=Ghee-sahn-tess...You guys getting me hungry doing this food truck review!

I'm here for 3 months for work. Thanks for sharing the OG food spots. I definitely want to support local while we're here. My 8 year old daughter and I love your videos. I'm here checking out a few of the food trucks. 😋
It’s pronounced gee- san-tes . Pork and peas
Yup! It's a Puerto Rican dish, It's pronounced pas-te-le

“Double porking” 😂🤣😆
I got the Mexican birria tacos was there. Was awesome
New subscriber here! Keep up the good videos. This is my first video and already a fan.
To answer your question of what’s in a Filipino empanada: anything! Haha my aunt makes them with ground beef, carrots, potatoes, or sometimes just straight chicken with seasoning. Looks like the one you’re eating has bean sprouts, I never tried one with those before. I can’t wait to try some spots you two are showcasing
Interesting that good to know! Welcome to our Foodie ohana and Mahalo for watching and supporting! 🤙
Puto Flan! Omg soo yum!!! I'll make it to that event one day, looks soo ono!
I love how Hawaiian people say "already"
Thank you for the heads up on Grandma's Pastele's. It's hard to find good pastele's. Although it still wasn't what my mom used to make....It was still yummy!

Darn the 1st Friday of month I'm gonna miss it. We will be there the 11-18 of May this year is their anyplace else on the island that has lots of food trucks other than the group of trucks on North shore.
Upper waikele outlet has about 6 trucks that are there throughout the week 👌
Empadilos are made with armadillo meat.
Those stix looked insane awesome.
This was a great video. Keep up the good content!
Do any of the food truck vendors that you purchased from have a eat in location? I won't be in Oahu on the first Friday of the month.
Happy belly, dipped by Dee, and PB sisters have store fronts
Thanks Amanda and Felix, going to check out ‘What the Truck’ site and see where and when they will be next. Would love to try the pastele and empanadilla!
Such an amazing event to rally support for small local businesses! Aloha🤙🏼

Yvonne and y’all are so dang wholesome!
Awww! Mahalo for the love🥰
Woo-hoo thx for the Friday treat aka another food vid mmm! Can't wait to watch more n more 😋
Yay! Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Gooey san tez? Too funny!
Hi Yvonne 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽
Anato seed or achote seed creates the color on the empanada
Empanada and Empanadillas are the same things, it's just that the empanadilla is smaller. Growing up in California if I got a tamale wrapped in corn leaves it was the savory type made with pork, but they could be made of chicken or beef. The ones wrapped in banana leaves were typically sweet with sugar, cinnamon, and banana. I was told that what the tamale is wrapped in has to do with what region in Mexico, and Central America Countries that the cook comes from.
how often is this going?
Never been so early before! 🤙
🤗 Mahalo for watching🤙🏼
Are these trucks only in spring / summer or all year long every first Friday?
I believe it's all year round, but this a relatively new event thing just started this past year!
Yvonnes fingers coming into view! Too funny 😂.
Love and Aloha from California ... love watching u guys ... btw, it’s pronounced “ghee-santez” (guisantes) ... Mom (Japanese) and Dad ( Filipino) from Hawaii! 😋
Hi the food looked great what is the best month to visit Hawaii that dose not have much rain
Usually Summertime doesn't rain too much, but hot😆 lol
Amanda and Felix, think it's time to leave some Extra Extra forks, spoons and knives in the car. Put extra Ziplocks and napkins too...thanks for sharing this event...
As usual, great food tour. I have a question about your older vlog on Chun Wah Kam. Amanda related that she didn't like their half moon. I agree with her, but could you tell me where I can get a great half moon ??? You guys doing a great job, mahalo much and God Bless !!!
♥️ you guy's
Man, you two sure got down and dirty with all that fantastic food! Love it lol 😂. True foodies, like yourselves, know there are no cultural food boundaries. Will have to try to go on my next trip today islands!
Great videos! Are there any good local Acai Bowl places that you would recommend?
Jewel or juice on Waialae, health bar on Monsarat, or blue hawaii in ala moana!
@@AmandaFelixEats thank you! Could you guys do a visit to one of those places or Nalu Health Bar, Banzai Bowl, or Haleiwa Bowls in Haleiwa the next time you make your way out there? My wife and I would love to see those places. Thanks and keep up the great videos!
Jason & Brandy
Subbed!!
Best food video yet! It's Oscar quality. Color, clarity, camera work and dialogue were outstanding. Thanks, very entertaining.
Yes. Pasteles is Puerto Rican
Awesome! Thanks for confirming, Aloha🤙🏼
You guys are killing me with your local style pronunciation😂
Google or youtube search "How do I pronounce pastelles? / How do I pronounce empanadillas?"
Yum! Loved everything you ordered. The Teri sticks, shrimp & bacon sticks, and Pancit...drooling.
