  • Dressed to impress, students from across Denver had conversations with representatives from companies and colleges at the annual DPS 8th Grade Career Fair.
Once a year, businesses from across Colorado come together for this high-energy event to help DPS students explore career paths in the state's most exciting industries. From Google to Denver Health, business professionals hosted tables to help these young learners begin to envision and pursue their own personalized college and career pathways.
“We attend this important event every year to remind students there are tons of career options they may have never even known about,” said Robert Clas from the Denver Housing Authority. “To be able to speak to students about what their future career may be is exciting!”
Eighth graders showed up ready to learn and were prepared with questions for business leaders and college representatives to help them determine which colleges and/or careers will best fit them upon graduation.
“This event is important to me because I can figure out what interests me by talking to people,” said Nya Woods, Highline Academy student. “I get to ask questions and businesses can prepare me for what to expect in my potential future career.”
