    It's amazing how I never 'need' such things as capacitance meter until I see review like this one.

    Excellent review! I have this Excelvan m6013 capacitor meter. It's accurate at very low capacitor values, but in high capacitance values like 1000 uF it shows slightly lower values, than my other meters. Sometimes it shows almost excatly as other meter. I have noticed, that it depends sometimes the brand of capacitor. Big plus is, that it reads very low capacitors accurate and has wide range.

    • @KeepOnTesting

      Yes indeed, the Excelvan is a very nice capacitance meter..as you say , very accurate in the lower ranges its also very fast. Thx for the kudos 👍

    Thanks for all the work you put into this week. This meter is handy if you invested in a multimeter that didn't have capacitance. You did a review on a LCR meter a couple years back that was cheap: SZBJ 4070. Which is better?

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  3 года назад +1

      SZBJ 4070 is definitely more powerful ( it also does Inductance - mH ..) but it's twice the price and alot bigger. So if you just need to check capacitance and prefer a smaller footprint/portability cap tester, then the Elike 6013 is a great alternative 😉

    Not bad. It’s fast, accurate and reasonably priced. For someone who need nothing but a capacitance meter this should be great. I mostly deal with the electrolytics, so I went for BSIDE ESR02PRO just to get that ESR reading. It goes without saying that your review was most helpful. It’s kind of quirky, doesn’t give the most accurate capacitance reading, but has no problems differentiating between a good and a bad capacitor. Hasn’t failed me yet. 👍
    Glad to see you and UT120C surviving the current test. 🙂
    (edited) Oh, I forgot to ask. It has three inputs and no polarity indication. So you don’t have to worry about the polarity, do you? I'm confused. 🙂

    • @bhushan9066
      @bhushan9066 3 года назад +1

      Yeah I too want to know why it has three holes? ▪️▪️▪️

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  3 года назад +1

      The inputs are an oddity for sure...you can use either jack input left/middle or right/middle but not left/right..I believe they've used the same chassis for a typical multimeter, hence the design and yes, you are correct, there's no polarity involved with this tester.👍

    • @numerical_error
      @numerical_error 3 года назад

      @@KeepOnTesting I’ve seen some cheap capacitance testers with three inputs. They had the middle input for the negative and the other two for the positive. Looks a little silly but if it works, it works.

    • @KeepOnTesting

      It certainly does..the dedicated ICs are usually much more accurate than your standard capacitance on a typical multimeter.

  • @emfloyd473

    I like the looks of the circuit board build quality. I find the three input banana jacks curious. Is that to fool us into thinking that it can do three wire testing with a guard terminal? Or is there a reason for it that I am missing?

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  3 года назад +2

      It's an oddity for sure...you can use either input left/middle or right/middle but not left/right..I believe they've used the chassis for a standard multimeter and have just adjusted the input jacks accordingly..no gaurd terminal support 😉 just bare bones here.. but fairly accurate nonetheless.

    • @emfloyd473
