Excellent presentation, clear, concise and informative, it wasn’t unduly padded out or self indulgent, some youtubers take it on themselves to run an introduction video complete with theme music as though they are fronting a TV show!!!. Well done 10/10. ( oh by the way - I ordered this model)
Thank you for your instruction. I have just paid for 1 on ebay after watching your presentation.
I bought same thing on eBay that you got but mine is a dud. Never gave me any readings. I even changed battery but same old. Will try to take it apart to see what the problem is.
I just got one yesterday from China... it is extremely accurate, easy to use, and is nicer since it doesn't have useless bells and whistles. Also paid super nice price of $13 and change.
Instructions in English.
Nice review and very nice Voice and explanation, God bless !
I have never tested caps before, so I bought that meter. Different. Cosmetically, but identical model # & functions. I just don’t know how to use it to test capacitors that are on a Fish Tales sound board.
Good, comprehensive video. I have this meter and your video cleared some things about its use.
Nice tutorial, my question is why the two different inputs, is there any reason to use the mA input on the left?
That was awesome and clear. Thank you so much!
I was given a no name one that is a DT-6013L and there isn't much documentation on it but when I searched, I found this video which cleared up a lot.
I’m an electronic hobbyist. Just purchased this meter and I’m wondering what is purpose of the female plug on the bottom left side? I noticed that you only used the female plug on the right side with the red test lead.
How do I know when to plug the red lead in to the left or the right socket? Thanks!
I would like to know the same
It would have been very interesting and very helpful if you had published the instructions for the capacitance meter's user manual, since when it comes from China you can't find any information in Google or in any other application.
ooo very cool it has the adj knob. just bought one after the video. there are Cx+ and Cx- sockets on the top, I suppose you can just plug the caps there right?
At least when you are comparing the other meters to this meter, this meter seems to do a good job, in my opinion.
Great review thanks. Can anyone point out what difference it makes to put the Cx + cable in the right or left slot?
If the opportunity presents itself, could you please explain the 3 probe connector points at the bottom of the capacitance meter & explain CX+ & CX-, you could also explain how to use the holes between the Hold Button & the Backlight Button, if that is convenient.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.
Arthur
Arthur Rae holes are for small capacity ceramic caps
@@johnmcdonald3231 The four holes on the left are all connected to CX+, and the four on the right are all CX-. If the leads are small enough to fit into the holes, you can test cap by inserting one lead into any of the four CX+, and the other lead into any of the CX-. More suited to radial lead vs. axial
Very nice demonstration, thanks for the video
A must have meter, although you should also have a ESR meter
English operating instructions
Can anyone tell me how to get PDF download of the Operating Manual in English? Mine came in Chinese and I did a Google search to no avail.
I’m trying to measure a large capacitor with 22,000 uf, my meter went to 1 after it increases in value. Does that mean my capacitor is bad?
Can it be used to test capacitors in circuit please?
i PAYED $16 INCL SHP.
You didn't show the adjust feature?
Also, the right side plug in for 36 V max and left side 200 mA.
I bought this meter, because my old MM only test caps up 20 micro F!
Para que serve a entrada cx+ não mostou no video .sou do Brasil
Very informative and helpful.
This is not a tester and neither does it claim to be it just tells you the value of a capacitor nothing more, and remember folks discharge capacitors before putting them on any device be it tester or measurer or anything else.
It says it is a tester in the very first sentence of the owner's manual, so it claims to be a tester.
@@Baerchenization Claiming and being is a different story.
@@harrystevens3885 That is what you said.
Would you say an ESR meter is a better investment? I bought a UYIGAO and the instructions were all in Mandarin.
Yes, ESR Meter is better. If i could only have one it'd be the ESR. this UYIGAO Capacitance meter is just 12 bucks tho so its definitely worth it for testing smaller ceramic caps and to verify the capacitor uf nf pf. My UYIGAO had english on one side and chinese on the opposite of the instructions. thanks
Show 👍🇧🇷
I got a bunch of audio grade caps 16 mF with 5% tolerance and they almost all read more than 18.5, some a little less. They are said to have been tested on pro equipment. So what are we gonna make of that?
id test some more random caps. if the meter continues to read out of spec it might be faulty. The meter i have still reads perfectly, ive tested hundreds of caps with it.
@@FunBubble I had that amazing idea myself in the meantime :) All other caps are within ca 5% of their rating, so I have sent the caps back already. I also had that Bside ESR meter in the mail yesterday, which basically confirmed the readings. Cheers!
Do you recommend?Thnks
Woody Harrelson made this video
The instructions from the seller sucks. There is no real users manual. What is the hold button for? What is the yellow button for? How do you make adjustments? What is cx+ and cx- for? What is max 36vdc for? None of these things or features are explained. I would appreciate an explanation from someone please...
I got one of these meters and it has never worked. A very bad buy.
hi, mine still works fine.
