Actually depending on how you do it and the weapons yy can actually grant you the speed boost for your secondary while running with your primary, for example lets say you have a smg and knife hitting yy and timing it allows you to run with the movement of the knife while technically holding your smg etc

I subconsciously YY because of call the stupid actions you do in this game so I do this to constantly cancel animations like reloading, sprinting and re-ADS’ing.
Mw2 was good for this sole reason and I will die on that hill, it made me break the habit of reloading after every kill. Sure it took "skill" out of the game, but it added situational awareness and decision making too it.
