I had something similar happen to me. Before the student broke three vertebrae he threw a chair at me and hit me in the chest. Kids have no respect, no discipline, and no consequences at home and at school. After my third back surgery I'm still suffering years later. I had something similar happen to me. Before the student broke three vertebrae he threw a chair at me and hit me in the chest. Kids have no respect, no discipline, and no consequences at home and at school. After my third back surgery I'm still suffering years later. I mean you should never engage in violence with students I'm not saying that because I didn't. I didn't end up in jail but in the hospital. But what did the kid do? Because of the shortage of teachers they're allowing just anyone to sub.

I have to say, I have been trying to drill some sense into my daughter about disrespecting adults, teachers and men. However, she just doesn’t seem to want to understand what I’m trying to tell her about respecting people especially adults even when they’re disrespectful. I tell her tell an adult because we can fight her battles with another adult. This should be a learning lesson for both parties.
