I watch a LOT of home decor RUclips channels. But...I really enjoy your home tours, Kellie. You're definitely my favourite. So, I had to think about "why?" It simply comes back to YOU😊. Your friendliness, your approach, your sense of style... you're just unique 🤷🏽♀️❤. I was searching for your latest video just yesterday, and here you are. Thank you, and please keep the videos coming.
Hey Kellie👋, loved this episode of thrifting. I am a staunch thrifter! Goodwill, flea markets wherever loved used items may be. I got the opportunity to go thrifting with a friend in Newburgh NY and I thought I would lose my mind!! Multiple floors and aisles with great treasures 🤑. Beautiful antique furniture, art, appliances, clothes and CDs. It was a 3 day thrifting weekend extravaganza 🎉🎉🎉.
Love everything you girls said. Design is personal. It’s a journey of self discovery;) Thank you so much for taking us on an adventure with you. I am always afraid of shopping New York City. Thanks for your encouragement.
Fun video! Also if you live in a place where there are not many or any thrift shops, garage sale’s are great! Don’t be afraid to check them out, you can find so many gems: )
amazing as usual. I remember the first summer I spent in NYC and I discovered Vintage Thrift (as well as Opera Thrift) I purchased this wild dyed blue corn kernel necklace that I still have the kernels of to this day (this was 22 years ago!). I really miss shops like those (and the old prices!)
Hi Kellie 👋🏽 Happy Sunday. I'm a new follower, I'm resting and binge watching your channel while enjoying some delicious indian food. I'm loving this series!! It's a happy day 💜
Amazing video but Kelly, I cannot take my eyes of that bed!! It’s looks so comfy! I’ve been inspired to buy shams for my pillows to achieve this exact same look! Is this a hotel?
There's an advantage to being in a major metropolitan area when thrifting and that is the fact that many people who live in those areas are affluent. They use their affluence to purchase high end unique items, and when they no longer love their purchases, those items end up in the resale market via listings on FB Marketplace or donations to thrift shops. Sometimes people just want to unload items and sell them very inexpensively. Other times, the thrift shops don't recognize the value of the item and you can purchase things for a very low price. For those of us who don't live in areas with affluent people, thrifting (with rare exceptions) tends to recycle items that were not high quality in the first place. Yes, you can find good stuff, but it's not as easy as in a metropolitan area.
When your friend found that beautiful vintage top sheet and said she wanted to cut it up and make something, I cringed so hard. Why? It's so lovely as a sheet, and to turn it into something that may or may not be treasured is tragic in my eyes. Then the sheet would no longer exist for someone to find and use as it was intended. If it was damaged in some way, then OK, transform it, but if it's in really good condition, leave it for someone else to appreciate. So many things disappear into this rabbit hole these days, and it's pretty sad.

You are a tastemaker. It’s really that simple. Love these videos, love your eye and love the taste level. It’s all just so good.

Ooh she's back! I loved her home, she has impeccable taste
I would watch a whole hour of this!!
Loved the video. Recently went with a friend who is a fanatical thrifter to Newburgh, NY and now have the thrifting bug!

Yummm absolutely
I want to get into thrifting. Love the tips, especially the one about what to look for when thrifting books.

This was wonderful. I don't thrift, but you make me want to.

Loved this trifting episode
I would love to know the brands of the gorgeous dresses you are wearing! 🥺
NYC Opera thrift store is closed at the moment.😦
I like your home content but I miss your fashion content and wish you still did it.
I am thinking the term thrift with that store is not correct.
I felt seen. I think i need to go thrifting. 🤭
You should
❤❤❤
That was a curated second hand shop, not a thrift store.
