Pokémon Presents 2021 August REACTION in POKÉMON COSPLAY! NEW Pokémon Games and Release Dates!

- It was 3 am in Hawaii at the time of recording this Pokemon Presents 2021 reaction, but we’re very excited to watch this year's second Pokémon Presents (or as some people may know it, Pokémon Direct 2021), and we’re especially looking forward to Pokémon Legends Arceus! So we decided to cosplay those trainers for our August 2021 Pokémon Presents reaction video! (For our last Pokémon Presents reaction, we cosplayed Red and Green trainers!) We’ll be reacting while wearing our Pokémon cosplay to show our excitement for the Pokémon Presents 2021 August showcase! Pokémon 2021 has been a great year so far, with amazing games like Pokémon Unite and Pokémon Snap, as well as highly anticipated new Pokémon games such as (Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes) Pokémon Shining Pearl, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, and Pokémon Legends Arceus. We hope you enjoy our August Pokémon Presents 2021 reaction and are looking forward to all the amazing Pokemon news as well!

I really like the cosplay you two, it looks great. Overall as a guy who’s been on and off with Pokémon, I’m happy with this. Yeah the Diamond and Pearl remakes graphics aren’t for everyone and the fact they are developing a BOTW entry is gonna make some really high expectations. But from what we all saw in this direct I can’t wait to play these but idk which one to play first since Gen 4 is the Generation that got me into Pokémon in the first place.

Ny first game was Ruby, but Gen 4 is right up there with Gen 3. I like that the MCs are literally the light that save Sinnoh from the darkness of Team Galactic. Kouki means "resplendence", I think, and Hikari means "light".
Those were amazing gens and also up there on our favorite list!
You pretty much got it right! "Kouki" can mean a couple of things depending on the kanji used.
Since his name is written in Katakana, it's hard to tell what it means. BUT the really cool thing is Kouki 光希 is a common name in japan and one common way to write it actually uses the kanji 光 which can mean "Kou" in Kouki or mean "Hikari"!
I thought that was so cool and great choice of names! SO COOL!
Absolutely loving the art style in Legends Arceus, beautiful. Very exciting, this is a game so many people love, and I'm happy about that. Cosplay is a nice touch, and I assume you didn't get a lot of sleep after all that.

Growlithe and Stantler probably came to Hisui (Sinnoh) via Johto and the Sinjoh Ruins long enough ago to change form and adapt to their new surroundings.

Wanted to edit my comment to add, that I really hope either they do the platinum version of events, as they mention 3 pokemon. (Dialaga, Palkia, and Giritina) or they do like they did with OR/AS and release a dlc with that part. Either way, or not at all, I'm still excited for the remakes!

I believe another commenter pointed out that as a houndoom was shown in the pokemon hideaways, that they may be using the platinum Dex, so here's hoping for more platinum elements to show up! 😁

P.S. Pokémon Red on the Gameboy back in 1998 was my first ever video game. Started with Charmander and fell in love with the wonderful world of Pokémon!

Thank you! We really wanted to cosplay them since the trailer was announced, but we only started working on them once they announced the Pokémon Presents, so we really had to cram 😂 But yes, we made these cosplays ourselves 😊

I'm so excited for Legends: Arceus!! It's going to do WONDERS for the metagame. I hope the starters will get new evolutions in the old Sinnoh/Hisui. Have you done research into Hokkaido mythology to see what they could feasibly add next?
Yes! Kat's grandparents are from Hokkaido so we certainly know the connection and absolutely love the inspiration Sinnoh/Hisui pulls from Hokkaido! We would love to hear if you have any speculations from what they showed us so far! We love that kind of stuff.
@@UnderLeveled Well, my thought is that Dartrix could have a split evolution that is Grass/Poison as the Ainu fought with poisonous arrows and the stilt owl wouldn't be extinct at that point. Also, I feel like Ursaring COULD evolve further as the Ainu had a kamuy called Kim-un-kamuy, god of bears and mountains. We have one for Repun Kamuy, god of the sea, fishing, and marine animals in Basculegion. Also, Kotan-kar-kamuy is Arceus.
@@realar We love your theories so far! We definitely agree with Kotan-kar-kamuy being Arceus, and definitely feel like Ursaring deserves a cool new evolution since bears are such huge figures in Hokkaido 😃 It'd be especially awesome if Usaring's evolution was based off Hokkaido's Yokai bear (maybe dark or ghost type)! We think it'd also be cool if Whiscash had a Hisuian form that was more whale like, since Whiscash is based on Onamazu which has an Ainu counter-part that's more like a whale than a catfish (we believe it's called an Amemasu). 😊
@@UnderLeveled I've heard Basculegion was more like Amemasu though. But Whiscash evolving further would be neat. I'm also expecting more Unovan mons to get forms because the Ainu came from the Americas or was it vice versa. I can't remember.

Late December, and it's driving me mad... also, my birthday is tomorrow, Dec 21. Kamado is Rowan's ancestor. Cylenne is Cyrus's ancestor, and one of the travelling merchants is Cynthia's ancestor, and Volkner's ancestor. Lots of connections to DP.

I wonder how the lore would work with Pokémon Home for Legends to connect with the rest of the games. I recall in the old days that it would be a time machine of sorts that you can’t get back to original games for Crystal to go to ruby, sapphire, and emerald. Or did I mistake that with fire red and leaf green
You're thinking about the time capsule that would allow you to move Pokémon from the Gen 1 games into Gen 2. There was no possible way to transfer from the Gen 2 games into Gen 3.

I noticed that Beautifly was highlighted in the trailers for both games. Why this gen 3 pokemon specifically? Besides the obvious gen 4 stuff, the pokemon company has been advertising Hoenn on their social media. Why now? What are they cooking up with gen 3? I hope to GOD it's not let's go Hoenn. 😩😫😓 Something is going on with Hoenn, I hope it's a port for OR/AS with HOME connectivity.

Wyrdeer is a evolution of Stantler. not a "new" stantler lol
If you watched our reaction to the LIVE Pokémon Presents, you would have known that we speculated a regional variant, as no one yet knew any info on this "new" Pokémon. If you then continued to watch, when it was later explained in the Presents, we then acknowledged that it is in fact a new Pokémon and not a regional variant.

@@Fallen_Pup We appreciate you watching the whole video! But I said "They are new, not just variants," because the evolution is "new". Stantler didn't have an evolution before Legends Arceus was announced. It is new, and I also elaborated because before it was explained, we thought it was just a regional variant. Any way you look at it, it is a "new" Pokémon, isn't it?

Please let Arceus be a clue that ninjas are going to be integral to Pokemon in the next generation... coming in 2023/24 Pokemon Naruto and Pokemon Sasuke, it doesn't have to be in Japan, if France has ninjas than so can India, Australia, Canada, Russia, Italy, Egypt, etc

@@brian0902 Ninjas are everywhere, technically at least. Ninjas are secret agents and assassin so they're mostly undercover blending in with your common folks. The ninjas with the black suits are mostly western popularizations of these class.

Blastoise was already revealed to come one of three first Pokémon after release and even we saw gameplay over whole year of him before release, so that is logical to show what unrevealed Pokémon will come too.
Both full dates for release for Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl and Legends: Arceus was revealed by the end of May, so that reaction was super later!
Team Galactic is evil team in Diamond & Pearl while this is called Galaxy Team.
This reaction showed you use internet like couple times per month or once every 3 months.
Obviously we knew of Blastoise from the beta, which is why we mentioned him. Everyone knew he would be released, the question was when. If you followed any of the Pokémon Unite communities, you would know that he was the number one Pokémon that everyone wanted to know the release date for, which was later released.
About Team Galactic and the Galaxy Expedition Team, we're not sure what your point is. Of course we know they're related but no one knows how yet. 😏
The only correct point in your comment was that we didn't realize that the release dates for the new Pokémon games were already announced. Other people in the comments already respectfully pointed it out, and we're kind of glad we didn't know because it gave us a more excited reaction.

@@AquaSViper It's a little hard to understand what you're trying to say. But the main point is that a reaction video is suppose to showcase our excitement for the new Pokémon games and our love for Pokémon. It's not scripted and it's not perfect.😅
We don't research prior to live presentations because we just want to enjoy and be genuinely excited. That's what we want our reactions to be about.
If you want an informative video, then our reaction video might not be what you're looking for. But we hope you find what you are looking for and what makes you happy.👍
