    Awesome video! Really excited for you about your REC skink babies! What and how are you feeding them? I have a REC skink baby and its so reclusive, I never see it go eat and I worry that its not getting enough food! I have tried to hand feed once or twice with small meal worms and dubia nymphs, once went horribly wrong when it wasn't having it and scampered away out of my hand. So how do you make sure your babies are eating and growing? They are so small I know that it is harder to tell that they are growing!

    They are so cute!! 😍We would love to build a vivarium ourselves one day, like you did in one of your tutorials, for red eyed crocodile skinks so with more foliage and a water feature than there were in that one... We would also need to think of heating since the climate here is too cold for them.
    Do you perhaps have some tips? :)

    • @Reptiliatus
      @Reptiliatus  4 года назад +1

      I would suggest doing everything the same but have a 25 watt tropical basking bulb off on one side of the enclosure so there’s a good gradient. Ideally have a longer enclosure so there’s really a proper cooler side and then they can decide how warm they want to get. Thanks for watching!

      To be honest, I don’t separate the babies from their parents and have never had a problem leaving the eggs/babies with them so I can’t say much. I have purchased babies that I’ve raised solo with zero issues so I suppose it can be done with no issues!
