As a student towards the end if a respiratory therapy program, this would be a game changer for going into covid pt rooms, or anywhere N95 is deemed necessary. And I absolutely love the idea a patient will be able to understand you. Many of them have a hard time understanding what your doing, and especially for people hard of hearing, they will be able to read your lips much easier

They just hand me a hospital mask claiming it's not safe and will only allow masks that are fully covered. Thought this thing was pretty cool and would love to get one but would most likely just get told to switch it out.

As someone who has lived through months of hazardous air quality over 3 of the last 4 years in California due to wildfire smoke, I would definitely consider buying this even without the threat of the pandemic. N95s are essential for going outside when the air quality index is over 150, and especially when it's over 200. This looks like a much more practical and sustainable solution than a traditional N95.

Also, being a tech company .. it would be nice if Razer could implement a way to show you the exact filtration efficiency remaining for the currently installed filter. Obviously, opening it up (à la _not_ Keurig) to let competitors sell filters, proving they meet the specs, would go a long way.
P3 or N95 full face respirators already use a silicon seal and they don't cause moisture build up so I think this is a fantastic move by Razer. Plus the internal light is going to be sick!

I would think that given the design of this and that sci-fi case, the cost would be higher. The only reason not to be is to saturate the market. Also with vaccines out and a new aggressive application coming soon, novelty high-priced PPE may not be in demand at high prices. Time will tell.
I'm curious how well it works with facial hair. I work at a middle school and wear a mask 8 hours a day and would love something that is easier to breathe through and still school friendly. We will see I guess.
