    I was fired by Accenture on 2013 inspite working very hard. I payed full deduction. When Accenture fired I was fresher with 14months experience only. Hr told me you have been fired because you are not social. Although it was tough for me because of less exp but I got another Job with more than 120% hike. So I you are fired don't panic, who knows much better opportunities are waiting for u

    Hi Anand, good insights received in this video.
    My entire life i have worked in Quality department which is one of the support functions like HR...admin etc you mentioned in the video.
    As per Six Sigma support functions are Business value added and Operations is Client value added.
    One interesting real life case is that in 2014 one BPO company closed Quality department and fired all employees of Quality simultaneously for cost cutting considering them useless. But after some time when they started facing severe customer complaints which arouse due to lack of Quality checks and found that this would shut down their business forever than they reopened the Quality department and rehired people. I was one of them so know this
    Companies learn the hard way.

    Hello Anand,
    A question which people often keep on asking is when a process gets outsourced from one expensive labour country to a less expensive country then such companies save more than 50% of cost in labour category.
    So with that huge savings why such companies cannot tackle or manage such employees during economic recession?

    • @mrrattrap1488
      @mrrattrap1488 Год назад

      Because companies maim aim is profit and profit margin.
      With eaxh quarter, they want a higher profit margin and lower cost irrespective how unrealistic the market situation is around.
      Also, when you make massive orofits fron cost cutting, the management get paid a share, rhe employees are not.

    • @shubhankarbhattacharya3442
      @shubhankarbhattacharya3442 Год назад +1

      So the bottom-line being profit, it's all about satisfying the shareholders where if shareholders say that why are you not reducing labour cost when everyone else in the market are doing then irrespective of company performance layoffs will happen.. isn't it?

    What about the people who are in training/ Cross Training/Consultant roles!?
    And there is like you are in a project but still non billable.!?

    • @CareerTalk
      @CareerTalk  Год назад

      Hi Subhransusekharsahoo,
      (1) People who provide training are non billable as they don't do any direct client billable work. If the training is paid by client then it is billable.
      (2) Consulting assignments are mostly billable.
      (3) There are some extra resources in projects to take care of emergencies. These resources are called essential buffers. They are not billable but allocated to projects because they are needed for emergencies.

  • @reshminandy7030
    @reshminandy7030 Год назад

    This is typical of Accenture , only now there are lot of talks on media because there are lot many people in independent media coverage. Accenture has 3-4 year cycle of changing the operations style . They dilute the role band and promote big number of people on Y1 . By Y3 -Y4 of the cycle a bulk of those who were promoted on Y1 would be jettisoned . Accenture make MDs do the thing which generally done with lower level resources in the peer companies . Accenture failed to maintain high bill-ability in their services unlike Deloitte . Thats why Accenture OPEX becomes very expensive against that of TCS of types . This is how Accenture normalize their people finance . However, the people who might be laid off - also learn and earn well in that 3 year cycle tenure and immediately assume roles in peer companies at a premium salary . So .....there is no doomsday .......its mere capitalism
