not sure if youve done a video on it but would be surprised if you havent, got sidetracked by this vid..... im on a hunt for a video on how to make a "folder" or a depository in the same household / network?? thats only accessible or can be seen by me? ive got 2 laptops in my bedroom both connected to internet via wifi ive been downloading the same software for both laptops and just remembered i could do this without having to download 2 of eveything or having to put stuff on a usb stick etc quick how to??? or even better now that we all have smart phones and ipads is there a way to set up a folder where devices can access this folder??? im only thinking about me personally at the moment but if it works amazingly then surely other people in the same house can access this? i have no idea whats the right terminology for this though?
also would be handy to put stuff in for doing an emulation batocera thing that i watched of yours..... now im thinking about this folder thing? i have to decide to make or choose a laptop to be viewable dont i?? rather than magically making a folder appear on the network? the folder i assume would be attached to either laptop A or laptop B instead of magically creating a folder C in my own wifi network??? im beginning to confuse myself now
@@antwango You can add an external drive to usb port of your router via usb and use it as home cloud server. You can get more informations from your router provider about that.
We are showing our age here, I remember a vid he did saying not to use CCleaner anymore since it was bought by xyz because it wasn't effective anymore, and that's when I deleted it. I use glary utilities now
Thanks i never tried CCleaner for duplicates. Over the years i got into the cycle of just buy a big new hdd and dump the smaller drives on to it. I just moved old WD 500gb drives to a 8 tb before they failed. I write blank on the old drive if the still works. :)

Thanks man didn't know the select all button keeps the original file. Reduced 130 GB to 40 GB - so far. Now need to sort them by date - you know a good program ?
awesome video again! can you teach how to use android emulators, i.e. Bluestacks on Windows, and run android apps. particularly how to set it up properly when apps are not compatible.
Nice one Brian cos I haven't used CCleaner for years now after it was taken over by I think it was Avast and didn't want the ads etc but might give it another go not that I think I have a lot of duplicate files. One video I would like to see is the run a Linux distro from a USB stick without installing it on the C: drive that would be really good as you mentioned it a while ago in a video I cannot find.

Tried and tested this software multiple times and it doesnt remove temp files or other files that its supposed to. Checked temp folders after a clean and the files are still there. Manually doing the task might take time but its much safer.
Talking of duplicates: Revo shows me loads of apps with a name involving a variation around, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. Some of them go back to 2012. Are they all necessary? Can I delete any of them? Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks.
Thank you. I accidentally copied /duplicated all the files on my desktop, is there a way to undo the last move? I don't see the icon that would allow the reverse. Thanks.
I am mad as hell at Cclean . I just took 2 1/2 hours to click on each file I wanted to delete. I clicked the button lower right side to delete and a popup came on the screen asking me if I wanted to permanently delete these files. THERE WAS NO BUTTONS TO CLICK ON (Yes/No) IN THE POPUP! no menu to select from. I could click anywhere on the screen and nothing. I just Control-Alt- delete - task manager and go to app's and remove from my computer. Forever
When I launch CCleaner, my windows defender security system says that it has blocked CCleaner from making " unauthorized changes blocked ". "Controlled folder access blocked c:\program\CCleaner 64.exe" from making changes to memory. Does this mean that I have a virus? I deleted CCleaner and reinstalled and still get this message. It is " v5.87.9306( 64bit ). Thanks in advance.

Thanks, will do!
Brian, isn't the latest incarnation (after 2017) of CCleaner now considered Malware / Spyware?
We are showing our age here, I remember a vid he did saying not to use CCleaner anymore since it was bought by xyz because it wasn't effective anymore, and that's when I deleted it. I use glary utilities now
I stopped using CCleaner years ago when it became infected with malware/adware. Have they fixed thisproblem? Thanks.
Thanks, have been using this for sometimes. Works good
I haven't searched the Britec YT video section 'cos it's not always easy re relevence but I would MASSIVELY appreciate details on how to copy videos hosted on consenting platforms &/or with owners © permission (such as Odyssey/Bitchute). Failing this due to YT restrictions - the most cost/effective screen recorders. Cheers Brian
Another cool video brain. Thanks again.
Great little program, I've been using it for years, thanks, Brian!
That 2nd channel should contain videos on Microsoft updates every month and more internet security related stuff
Glad we found this, helped me out allot the other day sorting my system out

How did I know this video was coming today :P
Because I told you last night after you was using it :)

I don't use this software for what your saying, I use bleachbit

some people say you could delete older ones but i would recommend keeping them all

If you press + Z immediately after accidentally duplicating the files, then Windows will undo your last "move."
Was CC Cleaner known for Virus ?
No, they fixed that issue they had, but I will say I don't use ccleaner, I use bleachbit
Is there a version for Andoid? I know that i probably have tons of duplicates here.
Has CCleaner changed? Six months ago Windows10 'saw' it and deleted it from my PC. It also deleted my installer for it.
I don't use it Sam

It somehow managed to disable ms office shortcuts and I had to reinstall office once again. Bit of caution if you delete duplicate files!
