    Great information. However, it would be more effective if you spoke more Greek (maybe say the example sentence twice). This structure is fine for people that want to learn a few words. I teach ESL, with fluency as my objective, and have modeled all my English lessons, using minimal Spanish and Mandarin (yes, 我会说中文). I can see how little my students learned when I spoke more in their native language than in English. Just my advice, since I'll be looking for other videos to continue my studies.

    Professor , Thank you for the lessons. I am a beginner I am starting this week learning vocabulary and the phrases on your lessons. Recently, I started to work on a Greek restaurant, I hear Greek every minute and I want to learn. Since I speak Russian, now that I see your lesson I see familiar letters and is easier to read and pronounce. The Russian alphabet consists on some letters borrowed from Greek. Russian letters like П -P, Ф - F , Л - L ,Р - R etc... are similar to Greek letters.

      Hello Enrique, thank you for watching my lessons and I hope they helped so far with your new job. I agree that Russian is easy to pronounce for Greek people. I took some lessons several years ago and I was surprised to see the similarities that may not be visible at first.

In any learning process, especially for languages, repetition is very important. I also try to write down the examples to get used to the Greek alphabet.

    hi lina thanks for uploading this informative vid - just a small suggestion - maybe if you give the english translation on screen as, for example 'I know' (ξέρω ) instead of ''to know', it would be more helpful..since the immediate general tendency (even if you hadnt displayed the engish words) is to already register it wrongly (i.e the english way ..'to read' instead of 'i read')...so subliminally even, 'i read' would be more helpful in learning the language - its just a suggestion from my experience, you dont have to change it ;)

    • @linaaaap1
      @linaaaap1  7 лет назад +1

      Hi! I guess I should at least mention that the forms in the video are the first person singular (haven't I, I don't remember?!) . I know I have mentioned this in another video, but I tend to forget that not everyone watches all my videos! In Greek, the first person singular is used to refer to a verb, and not the infinitive. There is an infinitive but it has a different use. I will definitely mention this to every future verb video! Thanks for the suggestion!

      Lina you have mentioned it - i just meant the written text in english ['to think'] could be counter-intuitive subliminally...

    I agree with the previous comment. I wanted longer to contemplate the examples.
